I have used these pencils for over a year and I have not had any problems with them!!!! The only suggestion I have is READ THE DIRECTIONS!!!! This IS A GREAT product, and it IS SIMPLE TO USE IF YOU READ THE DIRECTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The lead dispensing metal component inside the pencil broke on all three pencils I bought, making them useless.

this pencil when i first bought it, it was good, but then in a week or so, it started breaking the lead in the inside and some lead gets stuck in the clicker, i think....do not buy, buy papermate

Lead broke immediately when I tried to write for the first time. Not a good thing as I am a college student and I was using it in class! Cheap and useless, do not buy!

I thought these mechanical pencils would be wonderful, however, you can not even put more lead into them, and then they do not want to work..what a waste of money...AND here i thought I was the problem now, I see that I am not....:)

I agree with the other reviewer. I couldn't figure out how to start it--the clicker broke on the first one. I think it uses proprietary lead. What a bad choice. Buy the Pentel. Whoever thought one would need an intuitive pencil. I threw out the directions thinking it would be easy! Yikes!

My son purchase this product for school and the very first day he used one it broke. You could not retract the lead because the clicker broke and then the clear casing broke as he was trying to erase with the eraser. I have tried to locate the pentech web page to take my complaint directly to them but have not had any luck.
