Comments about Pentech Pentech Syntech Mechanical Pencil No. 2 Lead/0.7 mm 1ea.:

Since drafting course in college I've always been interested in well formed, rapidly drawn characters (printing as opposed to script) that can be easily read by myself or another at a later time. THIS mechanical pencil works best for me -- of everything I've tried since college decades ago! Some folks complained about the eraser for:

--1) being small and (apparently) a swallowing danger. Well this is an adult tool. The eraser is STANDARD for mechanical pencils. Keep tools away from tots!

--2) use of the eraser causing the lead to advance! Say what? This is a STANDARD mechanical pencil eraser in the STANDARD position for mechanical pencils. One uses it by temporarily removing the lead-advance push button cap, inverting the pencil to a 45-degree angle and GENTLY stroking the eraser over the writing to be removed. NO PRESSURE need be applied; the lead will not advance. No problem.

I am going to buy more to replace the "one everywhere" mechanical pencils I already have.

I use this pencil all the time. At my school we trade pencils alot and I will never trade the five that I have. I like how they come in different colors.(I have black, metallic brown, red, silver, and blue. If you are looking for a quality pencil with lead and extra erasers at the four or five dollar amount get this pencil.

Comments about Pentech Pentech Syntech Mechanical Pencil No. 2 Lead/0.7 mm 1ea.:

I like the grip but that's about it. I don't understand why there is an eraser on the d___ thing, if you can call that an eraser It's only good for advancing the lead.
I have used many different brands of mech. pencils and have found the cheapest ones to be the best. At least when they break you don't feel so bad...just through it away and grab another.

Comments about Pentech Pentech Syntech Mechanical Pencil No. 2 Lead/0.7 mm 1ea.:

I've had this pencil since the beginning of this year (a.k.a. 2006) and it has acted well! In fact, it has replaced my need for wooden pencils (literally). I would suggest to Pentech to make replacment erasers to fit needs of mistakes. Overall, it is a durable pencil and it deserves to be bought! It is worth every penny! It is nice looking and it comes in a variety of many colors that are all shiny!
