I bought this product to save money on dryer sheets and because my family suffers from allergies. After several uses, I still saw no results. I didn't have time to go to the store to buy dryer sheets(I live 30 minutes to the nearest store), so I gave them a second chance. I was forced to buy dryer sheets soon after because one of the balls crumbled into several pieces.

These DO work! I've had mine for almost a year and have not had to buy any dryer sheets. My clothes come out soft and fluffy with no dryer sheet smells and residue.

*NOTE* for those saying this product doesn't work, I have to wonder if they are over stuffing their dryers? I use a laundromat once a week and have seen those people who put so many clothes in that nothing moves. You can not do that and expect anything to get dry or fluffy. Clothes should be free to move about and tumble. If these work for others like myself, then why wouldn't they work for these people too? It's not like they can be defective, they are little rubber balls. These people are over stuffing their dryers!

These balls did not improve the drying time nor did they make any difference in the texture of the dried laundry. I still needed to use fabric softener.

On top of that, the balls had a rubbery odor that transfered onto my laundry and made them smell funny.

I have use this product for one full year now. No more static sheets,no more heavy perfums, cuts down on lint, and the laundry comes out as good as when I used the static sheets. It does cuts "some" on the drying but I have no way to prove what percentage of energy time it cuts down, however I have notice that it takes much less time to do towels & jeans that normaly I have to leave on for over an hour. I do two loads of laundry daily.

They do not solve static problems. I still have to use dryer sheets for that.

These little balls do reduce dryer time - by about 1/4 in my dryer - and they fluff up clothes, sheets, and towels nicely. They do tend to end up at the end of the inside of sleeves, so you have to carefully search your dried laundry to avoid losing them if they aren't readily noticeable after a dryer load.

Not only do you save money by NOT using commercial fabric softeners; your clothes are benefitting by the use of the dryer balls. Highly recommend them!

Fabric Softeners and softening sheets cost money, are pollutants, and often have overwhelming fragrances. I find that these balls, with their rubber 'fingers', really 'comb' out lint and fluff all fabrics; the proof is in my lint trap. Also, the very same balls of various sizes are sold as 'spot massagers'. When they are not in the dryer, you can roll one on your neck, back, between your hands, etc. for mild exercise/tension relief! This is a good product with multiple uses at a great, one-time price.

These are great! I haven't used fabric softener since beginning to use these over 6 months ago. Clothes come out soft, scent-free for those with scent allergies (unless its in your detergent), and drying time has been cut by 10 - 25% depending on what I'm drying. Plus no more chemical softeners going into the environment!

This item works great, but I don't like that the clothes feel that they have been outside hung on a line with no benefit of the fresh outdoors. The laundry is stiff to me vs soft.

I think I've used a fabric softener once since buying these (sleepwear, slips, etc., when I noticed a little static). Honestly, it surprised me that there's basically no static after use of these. My clothes come out with fewer wrinkles which is wonderful. They actually work better at removing wrinkles than the wrinkle reducer liquid I used to add to the wash. I'll put up with a little noise. If these last as long as I think they will, I would definitely buy them again. I bought one set for home & a set for our vacation home. Hopefully, the dryer heat will not deteriorate them too soon but I only use low to medium heat which should prolong product life.
