I bought mine because i live alone and can't open the jars. It has worked on every jar i have opened. I see other remarks on this page but they are not about the jar opener they are about the can opener. Do not get the two mixed up. The jar opener is great for anyone. It works truly with one touch.

I have used this product for about a year. It always works perfectly. It is truly one touch on all jars I have used it to open. For those of us who have limited strength in our hands this is truly a blessing!! I have also bought several for friends and family and they all love it!

The product is actually "one touch." I place it on top of the jar push the button and my work is done. I have had the product for four months and haven't found a jar that it won't open. I like it so much I am recommending it to all of my family with aching hands.

This item was great for about 2 weeks. Then it got jammed on a can and it took me an hour to get it off. I figured that maybe the batteries were dying, but the release feature wouldn't work either. I replaced the batteries and it got jammed again. It was a waste of money!

This looks and feels like a quality product, but I could not get it to work properly. The first one I had needed extra manual help to get it to go all the way around the can. There is a little button on the bottom that you can push for it to go in reverse, so that is a good feature; however, I couldn't get it to go all the way around the can after only opening 3 cans. I returned the first one, and the store manager talked me into trying another one. The second one started out seeming a bit stronger, but when I opened the 3rd can, it got stuck on the can, and I couldn't get it off! [...]What are the chances of my getting two defective openers in a row?

This thing is the worst. It keeps getting stuck onto the lid of the can without cutting the lid. Reversing the motor doesn't unstick it. Finally, I had to just throw the whole thing plus can into the garbage.
