This LED night light is a great value at a great price! However, the LED (Light emitting diode) may dim early due to inadequate heat sinking as mentioned earlier. Much more expensive LED bulbs/devices are available that have adequate heat sinking. Those are useful in recessed lighting, for example. As a helpful bit of advice that I have done for a long time myself with a similar LED bulb lacking a heat sink put in a motion controlled circuit/device, if this night light is plugged into an outlet/device, such as in the bathroom, that is "motion controlled," for the shortest, reasonable "on" time period, this light will have little, if any, reduced output or dimming due to detrimentally heating the diode. Trust me, this tip works. Some plug-in night light devices have small incandescent, replaceable screw-in bulbs (7 watt) that also feature motion detection. Those devices can be retrofitted with similar screw-in LED bulbs available elsewhere. I have used those in hallways, and it is great, no dimming and I save even more energy! Of course, a motion and light sensing LED night light would be even better!

I got these for the low wattage and not having to replace bulbs all the time. Also the regular ones where darkening the paint on my walls. These are nice they are bright and look pretty neat. They use such a tiny bit of electricy I'm able to use many more and still not use the same amt of electricity I was using with less of the regular ones.

I bought the five pack of these night lights to stop replacing the small incandescent bulbs in our regular old night lights. They work great and are very bright for about the first six months, now after a year, they have gone very dim whereas you can't see your hand in front of your face in the bathroom. I know about Leds and why they dim after time which is due to improper heat sinking of the diode, (it gets too hot around the diode due to the design of the night light). Your normal Led will last 10,000 hours with proper cooling, and will not start going dim for about 4 - 5 thousand hours. So in conclusion they work great and emit plenty of light at first, then go very dim after a few months therefore making them not as cost effective if you have to buy new ones every six months.

A real breakthrough in light bulb technology. This one beats all others. The daylight sensor on the unit works better than all others I have seen...and I've tried a lot. It shines with a pleasant white to ice-bluish glow. Brighter than other night lights too. Buy the 3 pack. I'm going back for more!

This is the best night light I have seen. Nice white light, runs cool, well constructed and shuts off easily with very little daylight, nice sealed unit will never need a bulb replacement.
