This will open just about any plastic container, and is very easy to use. I've given it to several people as gifts, and they all love it. I recommend this for any parent who has to contend with plastic and wires, it will do both. Great tool!

Seriously, all parents should be given one. Birthdays and Christmas are no longer frustrating affairs as you have to get the toys out of the packaging. Some R/C cars are now screwed into a base - no problem! There's a tool for that. Taped box - CD "seal"? No problem - there's a tool. Sealed blister pack? There's a tool for that. 48 wire twist ties (yes, that's an actual count from last year)? No more tired fingers (or ruined scissors) - there's a tool for it. Snip! And the toy is free! I'm going to find and buy several more just in case the one I have dies - although there's no sign of that so far.

I just bought this item this week and I have had no problem opening 2 large sealed hard plastic packages that I bought from the store. It cut through them like butter, went around the corners just fine and the plastic did not cut my hand. The angled head keeps your hand away from the material you are cutting unlike regular scissors.
