This product is advertised to work on all dogs and cats, but from my experience it is only really effective on long-haired animals. My dog has medium hair (3-4 cm) and while it did remove her undercoat, it was a very slow process and she soon got fed up with it. I could see how it would be quicker and more effective on long haired dogs, but for shorter haired breeds it really isn't worth it. After using it a couple of times I went back to a rubber curry brush that is intended for horses, but works great on dogs too. When used in a circular motion it is the fastest, easiest way to remove lots of hair from medium-coated dogs (I'm not sure about longer hair), and they love it because it feels like a massage.

I have a German Shepherd & I was blown away at how great the Shed Ender Pro worked when I was done he looked like he does when I get him professionally groomed. It got SO much hair off that people commented on how great his coat looked. For all the negetive reviews maybe they arent using it correctly or its certain breeds that dont work as effectively on but German Shepherds are known for their 'double' coat and I am EXTREMELY pleased w/the results I get EVERY time! It actually makes the chore of brushing my dog no longer tedious because I get such GREAT results! I would highly recommend this product!

I used this on my golden retriever and could make another dog out of the hair that I combed out. I didn't realize how much underfur he had. Less fur came off the yellow lab and the pitmix. The amount of hair removed does seem to be dependent on the breed type.
The cat was even interested so I was able to remove about a handful from her, and she is a domestic short hair.
All in all, I am thrilled with this thing. It does definitly work better on some breeds fur then others-but if you have the kind of dog or cat with under fur you should stock up on these!

I thought for my Mastiffs this would be a great product. NOT!!! Certainly not worth the money paid for it. I found that using an old blade out of an electric clippers works best of anything, and much less expensive!

THIS PRODUCT SHOWS ON TV HOW ALL THIS HAIR COMES OFF FROM THE ANIMALS COAT AS A BREEZE. WELL I FIGURED THE WAY I HAVE ALL THIS HAIR AROUND FROM MY LABRADORS IT WILL WORK GREAT FOR ME! WELL IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH WAY I HOLD THE COMB IT BARELY REMOVES ANY HAIR AT ALL AND TO SEE IF IT WAS WORKING AT ALL OR NOT I RIGHT AFTER DOING IT WITH THIS PRODUCT USED MY OLD STANDBY BRUSH AND YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE HAIR I STILL GOT OFF GLOBS OF IT. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT NOW WORTHWHILE.
