I really like this gadget. My bed lamp sits on a small square bookcase that is a lot higher than my bed. I prefer to get into bed with the light on, but couldn't do so because I couldn't reach the switch to turn it off. I saw this advertised and was hesitant at first. I really liked that there was no wiring or tools needed (since I wanted the switch to be portable).
Another great use for this is when you leave your house and will be returning at night, you can leave the switch near the door and when you enter you are able to switch on a light in the next room, for example.
I also use this when I am heading to the bedroom. I take the switch to the living room, that way when I get ready to go to my room, I can turn off all the lights in the living room, switch on the lamp in my bedroom. This way, I don't have to walk into the bedroom, back to the living room and back to the bedroom.
Also, if you want to place your lamp in a corner out of the way, but doing so would make it hard/impossible to turn on, you can use this.
The night light is also good. It is a blueish color versus yellow/white.
I thought this item was great, I had a floor lamp ina corner and the swith was hard to reach... this did the trick
very functional - not the greatest looking thing, but the switch can be kept in a drawer or behind a picture frame if you wish. very reasonable price for the functionality

The only con I've found is if you have a 3 way light it only turns the light on or off. It can't go thru the 3 settings. Hardly makes a difference when it makes the light so handy.
I now own three Wireless Light Switches. I really like them.

Purchase this pile of junk 3 days ago. Did not Work. Checked the 12 volt battery and got reading of 8 volts. Dont think they need to put these things in such a steal proof package. Who ever stole one these things would be very disappointed.

I sit in my recliner and read as it gets dark in the evening I need to turn on the light. The light is a tiffany that hangs over my chair. The on/off switch is on the light. Now with the Handy Switch I dont have to. I have the switch in my remote caddy and when I need the light on or off I use the switch! GREAT INVENTION!!!

This is one of the truly usable "gimmicks" as some would call them, that I have come across yet. When I get comfy in my rocker & it starts to get dark, I dont have to stand up and turn the light on over my head, I just flip the switch. Amazing, what will they think of next? This really is a GREAT product and and cheap [$]
my handy switch worked two times. i returned it and received a refund. i will never buy another one. it would be great if it worked

Because I have mobility problems, I have put them in places where I have a hard time getting to.

The wiring in an old house only has one switch to the ceiling. We wanted separate switches to control a ceiling fan and light - this was our solution. Took a little extra work to add a "plug" behind the housing, but lots easier and cheaper than running new wiring.

Working with a deaf client who lives in a group home, we couldn't put a hole in the wall to install a flashing light doorbell for him. Wireless 'deaf doorbells' were priced at $200-$600!!! Flipping this (which we attached easily to his door with no holes) worked just as well.

I saw a commercial for this on TV and thought, there's no way that works. But, I decided to give it a shot, just in case, especially since it's such a neat idea. I purchased it a little while ago and installed it in seconds. It works from the front room in my house all the way to the back door. The only switch for our kitchen lights is across from the back door, so we were always walking across the room in the dark to switch on the light. With this switch, we can flip lights on in other areas of the house to help light the way and not have to walk in to a dark house just to find a switch. I plan to get additional units to use elsewhere in my house. Great idea!

I am using this to control the lights on my christmas tree since the outlet I had to use was in such an odd place. Inside of a built-in cabinet!! The range is actually much farther than stated as I have used it from across the road at nearly 100 ft.
I have ordered 2 others for side lamps in the kids rooms so have yet to find out if there are any problems using multiple units inside of the home. Overall, very nifty product, better than clapping your hands when the baby is asleep!

My mother is leagally blind. When she would turn off the lights in the living room she couldn't see to leave the room. We put the plug on a light in the living room and the switch in the dinning room. Now we have another with the switch by her bedroom and the plug in the dinning room. This is the BEST. I recommend this to everyone.

I love this switch! Everyone that comes to visit picks it up off the coffee table, switches it while asking "what is this?" and then has a look of amazement on their face when the lamp in the corner goes on and off. They all love it. I want to get some for holidays gifts this year! Great great great product!

This little remote switch is wonderful!!! It works flawlessly. I have it about 10-12 feet from wall unit, around behind a dresser...not a problem. Works quickly each time I click it on.

This is a great product, especially if you or someone in your family has difficulty getting out of bed to turn a light off. You simply plug the night light into an outlet then plug a lamp into the night light.
