Considering it's relatively low price, I expected that this would barely work at all. I was wrong. This night guard has been effective and comfortable. I bring it with me to clean it in the morning when I brush my teeth and then put it in at night after the PM brush. It does move around more than a custom fit nightguard would, but for this price it's amazing.

I have tried several night guards that cost from $100 to several thousand dollars, and this fairly inexpensive night guard is the best I have ever tried. I still clench and grind, but I am not spitting it out during the night, and I am protecting my teeth from very expensive breakage. I wear it every night. I know this may not be the answer everyone needs, but at the cost, it is worth a try. I do have to replace mine after so many months, but after using it such a long time, I have found that I do not need to replace it as often. My jaw is much less sore when I use it, and my headaches as much less severe and less frequent when I use it. Recently, I had to throw my night guard out and have not been able to purchase a new one, and I can feel a huge difference without it. I really need it back. As I said, this particular guard may not be everyone's top choice, but it has certainly helped me tremendously.

I am a terrible teeth clencher. I have already broken 3 teeth in 6 mths, due to this. My dentist has crowned them, and suggested I order a $350 mouth guard from him to try. But first, he suggested I try this product. He said some people swear it works better than the more expensive model that you have to order from him. I figured since $50 was cheaper than $350, I would at least try this product first. And I definately love it. At first I didnt think it would stay in my mouth. I told my husband that it would fall out of my mouth and our puppy would probably eat it. Or I thought I would choke on it. But its been 3 weeks, and it has not once fell out. And, no choking issues! I cant even begin to tell you how this had made my whole life better. No more headaches. No more gum and teeth pain. I sleep better. I actually feel better all the way around. Take my word for it. This one works. It really really does.

it works great...way better than the $200 one my dentist sold me ...I'm a front teeth grinder and I can't grind my teeth with this on at all, and I think I sleep with my mouth in a relaxed position ..after nearly a year there are no teeth marks on the guard..I loosened my front teeth with the $200 dentist verstion...only complaint, taste of the material and the dentist's is yuk, I wrap the guard in plastic food wrap to avoid taste..I worry what these guards are make of...my fiance' paid $1000 for a dentist's hard guard and it doens't work at all..after many "adjustments" she still can't use it..my hygenist says this is the best cause you can't push against it and clench and the front teeth don't even touch..I slept fine, but the taste is yuk...I'm going to try the mint one...I tried the cheap sport guards and they taste bad too...

This mouth guard actually made my grinding/clenching problem worse! Since it has no grip in your mouth, I found myself chewing it VERY aggressively in the middle of the night, resulting in bad headaches in the morning. I kept trying it, just in in case it took a while to "get used to", but it didn't get any better. I have tried many over-the-counter night guards to avoid paying the cost at the dentist, but I can honestly say that I wish I hadn't wasted the money and that I'd gone with the one from the dentist first!

Bottom Line:

This product fit me great out of the box but it didnt stay put during the night. Several times I woke up chewing on it. The last time I was dreaming I was chewing on flavorless bacon. I ended up taking it back [...]and exchanging it for the cheaper one that molds to your teeth. So far I am not chewing on that one but it is much bulkier than this one.

VERY PLEASED!
By Happy TeethVerified Purchaser from Moncks Corner, SC on 6/13/2007
Pros:
Easy Storage, Lightweight, Safe
Best Uses:
Clenching, Grinding Teeth
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I am very pleased with this product. My dentist wanted me to spend over $600 to get a bite appliance, but after having to get an emergency root canal done, I could not afford it. Before I bought this, I was having mouth pain on a daily basis and cracking teeth on a regular basis. When I started using this, the very next day I woke up with no pain. I am very happy with my purchase and have recommended it to several others already!

Sleep Right Nightgurad
By Car JonesVerified Purchaser from Seattle, WA on 6/2/2007
Pros:
Easy Storage, Lightweight
Cons:
Unsafe
Best Uses:
grinding
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is my second Sleep Right nightguard. The first one I chewed through in 6 weeks! I retruned it for a refund and hoped that this one would be different. I have used it now 2 weeks and it seems to be holding up better. I've adjusted it so it rides further back in my mouth, so I hope this prevents it from being chewed away. Read the advise about training your brain not to grind...I did'nt the first one so maybe that contributed to it being chewed up.

I love this product and I mention it to all my clients. I'm a massage therapist and get alot of people that grind/clench their teeth. This is a small, adjustable and comfortable product. I love the glow in the dark case with the air holes in it. It is also easy to clean.

Pros:

Best Uses:

Bottom Line:

I like the way it keeps my teeth apart when I sleep. It saves my dental work from grinding. The only thing is that if you clinch your back teeth hard it will irritate your gums. Overall it does seem to work and is better than nothing.

Very comfortable
By BoomVerified Purchaser from PA on 3/14/2007
Pros:
Easy Storage, Lightweight, Safe, Sturdy
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

At first I was skeptical - after all, the dentist charges a small fortune for a night guard (which makes me crazy and I can't keep it in...) This night guard fit my mouth, didn't get in my way, was as comfortable as a night guard can be, and really helped my TMJ. It doesn't look like much, but it works.

This product brought me great relief
By Sunshine SueVerified Purchaser from Boca Raton, FL on 3/12/2007
Pros:
Comfortable to wear, Easy Storage, Easy to clean, Lightweight, Safe, Sturdy
Best Uses:
Alleviates my tmj pain, Alleviates neck pain, Lessens night dry mouth, Lessens night migraines, Lessens snoring
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I am loving this product and feeling so good these days! I clench rather than grind my teeth. In only 3 weeks, my 18 years of TMJ pain, night-occurring migraines, and chronic (behind the ear) neck pain have all but disappeared. My sleep is deeper and more satisfying - I wake up rested and pain free. I have previously tried chiropractors, orthodontic appliances & OTC and RX pain relievers. This product is worth every penny and I am ordering a "back-up" one!

Made My Teeth Hurt
By Receeding Gums from Fredericksburg, VA on 3/6/2007
Cons:
Bulky
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This night guard made my teeth hurt. I think that was because the small bite pads concentrated the force of my teeth grinding on just a few teeth. Some of those teeth were in poor shape to begin with, so the extra pressure made them hurt. Chewing became slightly painful.
I have since gone back to using a bulky night guard that spreads the force of my teeth grinding over all of my teeth. As a result, my teeth are slowly becoming less painful.

Doesn't work for my mouth.
By TheresaVerified Reviewer from Seattle, WA on 3/2/2007
Cons:
Bulky, Flimsy
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I was trying to replace a professional night guard that had broken, but found this both thicker and uncomfortable and unstable in my mouth. Unfortunately, I will have to go back to my dentist for a professional one.

Pros:
Lightweight, Safe, Stays in place, stops the grinding, Sturdy
Best Uses:
Dental problems
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My dentist recommended I use a mouth guard when I had a very sore tooth and was looking at having a root canal done. My dentist said that some studies show the use of a mouth guard will stop the grinding and prevent having a root canal.

Works great!!! Very comfortable!!!
By RLJ from AR on 2/25/2007
Pros:

My first bite guard was made by my dentist. It cost almost $200.00 and I always felt like I was choking on it. This one[...] is so much more comfortable. I would recommend it over the one the dentist will form to fit your mouth any day!!!!!!

Pros:
Easy Storage, Lightweight, Safe, Sturdy
Best Uses:

Bottom Line:

I have used this product for over 2 years! At first I went through them about one per quarter. Now, I am using one per 9 months. No more broken teeth! Can be worn as shown or flip over so guard strap runs around top teeth. This was added bonus for me as it worked like a retainer and brought my top front teeth back into better alignment. Highly recommend!

It Works
By Deb from Las Vegas, Nevada on 1/12/2007
Pros:
Easy Storage, Lightweight, Safe, Sturdy
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased mine at another store and paid twice this. For years I spend hundreds of dollars having dentist make them and I chewed thru them and spit them out. I had my doubts, I must say when I seen this flimsy looking thing. Thought I would choke on it and wondered how it stayed in place. It is amazing, it works and I have had mine almost two years ( about time to get another) but it is great without a doubt and guarenteed to work. I couldn't sleep without it.

Finally something that works!
By Dave from Cincinnati OH on 12/22/2006
Pros:
Easy Storage, Lightweight, Safe, Sturdy
Best Uses:
grinding

I've been grinding for years. I have tried big clunky guards that my dentist made (for $200) and I would spit the thing out at night. Also tried hypnosis and medications--nothing works. This product is great! It is small enough that you can still speak and it is very comfortable to wear. Highly recommend this or the other sizes to grinders. It really works.
