I was looking for a home HbA1C kit to monitor levels. The plan was to test a week prior to the doctor's appointment to be sure level is where it is supposed to be; if level is appropriate, then test every few months; if too high, then test more frequently.
There is no advantage to having to send blood off to lab; I can go to a nearly lab and have it done.
I know there used to be home HbA1C kits, but can no longer find them

I putchased the first kit from [@] because it was cheaper than going to a lab. The results for that kit were immediate...I didn't have to send anything in. This kit could only be purchased online [...]and the results have to be mailed. With postage and handling, the kit is about the same cost as having a lab do it. I won't buy the kit again.
