I used this as a seat in my shower when I was pregnant with triplets since I did not have the energy to stand up. It was very sturdy and I could easily lift it in and out despite my "condition". Once I had the babies, I used it as a step stool around the house.

My wife broke her ankle, and this is the only bench/chair we could get on a short notice. It is flimsy, and it eventually collapsed, after only a week of use. Someone else ran into the same thing with this item.

It was originally purchased for an adult who had shoulder surgery so I could reach her hair to help her wash it. We both found it was fabulous for shaving legs and scrubbing dirty feet also. Now I am a big girl and I found it to fine. Not so sure I would use it for a disabled person, I think I would want a bit more sturdiness for that. But for the price, you can't beat it.

I recently broke my foot and I bought this bench so that I could easily and safely shower while my foot was healing. I chose this bench because of the price. It was great the first time I used it, but during the second use, it started to tilt outside of the tub and become unstable. Upon inspection, my husband saw that the bolts/screws had worked themselves loose and the legs had come out of position. PLEASE BE WARNED: This chair is only safe if you check the screws/bolts after EVERY use, retightening them as necessary.
