Have had the same problems as everyone else. Worked OK for first day or two, then died. Had to remove and reinsert battery to get it to work, even with new battery. Battery cover hard to remove and easy to damage. Contacted customer service, they said to send it back to exchange it; the product they sent as a replacement was a different, much better, more expensive pro-style unit. Obviously they had a buggy bomb on their hands and knew it. Stay away from this product.

Worked fine the first time, and then switched to giving me the temperature in Celcius. Can't figure out why it did that, and how to get it back to reading temps in F.

Needed it when my kid was sick, it didn't work! I only used it 2x. Battery was dead, can't find a replacement. Destroyed the cover trying to get the battery out. Not reliable enough when you have kids and need a thermometer late at night when there are no stores available.

I bought this thermometer and the battery died after a short time. I called the company and they had discovered a design flaw that they had corrected. They sent me a new one. The new one works great! I haven't had a problem since! I love the temperature indicator rather than looking at a small display to see the temp. Great idea!!!

I bought one of these, and had to immediately return it because it did not work out of the box. After returning it and getting a second one in exchange, I was extremely frustrated to find that the second one did not work as well. I have no idea how to take the battery out because every time I try to open the battery case, it just strips it out. I am returning this one as soon as possible, and buying one of another brand. DO NOT BUY THIS. Buying this product is the same as throwing your money away.

This was a great thermometer - very fast, while it worked (for four days), then it just stopped working. Stripped the back when trying to take out the battery - and then I threw it away. Try another type.

I completely agree with the other comments. This thing is rubbish. Battery flat straight out of the box. Stripped the battery compartment trying to open it. In the end I literally prised it open with an xacto knife. This thing takes a 1225 size battery which you CANNOT FIND ANYWHERE! Put the existing battery back in, taped compartment closed and now it works - BUT the temp is in deg C rather than deg F and there isn't any info in the instructions on how to switch! I bought this in the US, not Canada. What the hell? Stay away from this item.

It's tempermental, and a replacement battery cannot be found [...]. We also almost stripped the battery cover trying to pry it open multiple times. Not worth it. Piece of trash.

Bought it same as other person will not work right. Have to take battery out then put back in for it to work. and in process of doing that the groove in the battery cover stripped out!
