I'm diabetic and sometimes I get dry skin rashes on my legs. I use it to heal them and aleive the dry skin.
I have used it on other rashes and sores also. It works like a charm to heal them.
I bought this as a last resort to try for my dog that had taken to chewing his hind leg raw. The vet just kept giving him cortizone shots that did not help and I was not going to give him one more.
We had tried EVERYTHING - even the human behavioral drug Elevil.
My grandfather was a farmer and he tended his own animals with much better results than my modern vet. I remembered Bag Balm and bought some.
Within two days his leg was healing and he had stopped the chewing. It sooths and coats to allow the body to heal itself.
I tried it on my eczema and it worked wonders within two days as well.
I also use it to moisturize everything from my under eyes to my feet. My dog and I share a big tin. We are both looking and feeling better now.
I have just started using this product. My friend's family was talking about it and said they have had scars that have just about completely gone away - even old scars. I am just trying it now, but even if it doesn't take away my scars, I am so thrilled with how soft it makes my skin!

A friend gave this to me at my baby shower to prevent and treat diaper rash. I was skeptical at first since there was a picture of a cow on it! Other diaper rash ointments would remain on my baby's skin and would be painful to wipe off. With Bag Balm there is no need to wipe it off because it absorbes into the skin! It is 100% lanolin which is wonderful for the skin. I also suggested my mom use it when she got a cast removed from her leg. She slathered it on and put a sock over it overnight. It quickly moisturized her leg and got rid of the flaky skin!!
One of the best secrets out there!! Give it a try! You will love it too!

I have had excema/psoriosis on my hands and legs. Steriods, shots, and OTC remedies did not help at all. My husband, who is a contractor, uses Bag Balm all the time to get rid of split finger tips from working outside & from working with drywall, so I tried it. I rubbed it in real good on the areas affected twice a day. In a couple weeks, my severe condition (dryness, penetrating itch, bleeding & cracking)was gone and has not returned in any of the affected areas. We always keep a large can of it on hand - it works miracles!!!!
I WAS RIDING MY BIKE 200 MILES OVER A WEEKEND,I TOOK A BAGGY,TURNED IT INSIDE OUT AND USED IT LIKE A GLOVE SCOOPED UP SOME BAG BALM AND CLOSED THE BAGGY THEN AT REST STOPS I WOULD USE THE BAGGY TO APPLY BALM ON THE CROTCH OF MY SHORTS TO PREVENT FROM GETTING RAW IN THE NETHER REGION FROM THE FRICTION OF PEDALING AND THE SEAT OR SADDLE RUBBING.BAG BALM ALLOWED ME TO RIDE THE DISTANCES THAT I DID.THE SMELL ISN'T SO PLEASANT BUT AFTER 200 MILES NEITHER WAS ANYTHING ELSE.USING THE BAGGY AS A GLOVE KEPT THE GREASE FROM MY HANDS.

Use it on my feet everyday. At age 55 I can still wear Stillettos and not be embrassed by my cracked feet. With this product I never need a pedicure.

Someone told me that this would be the greatest product to use on my little guy for diaper rash and I didn't believe them. However, once I tried it, I threw away all the other products that didn't really work.

I have wondered about whether it is completely safe to put on my baby's lips.....but here is my comment aside from that:
I have been using bag balm for years and it seems like a cure all to me! So when I got this terrible sun burn that I could get no relief from it became worth it to put bag balm on it even though there is petroleum jelly in it, I knew there was also medicine in there too. I tried a very small amount, and was surprised to find that it helped greatly! I do not recommend it, but it definitely worked. I thought that it would be the equivalent to putting butter on a burn, but I'm telling you, it worked. Perhaps the burn was gone and it was just the ache left. It worked.
This is the best Diaper rash ointment ever!! I give this to all new mothers I know. It clears up diaper rash overnight in most cases. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Bag Balm to all parents with children in diapers. Nothing would heal my daughters diaper rash faster than Bag Balm, not even the DR prescribed medication. A little bit goes a long way so it outlasts any other diaper cream as well.

I wash my hands very often and they had gotten so dry and itchy. My skin was actually cracked and bleeding. In spots, there was hardening of the skin. My mother recommended Bag Balm and I'll admit I was dubious at first - you really do have to work it into your skin, but oh my - this is far better than any other product I've tried, and believe me, I've tried quite a few.
I have a can at home, and a can at work and a travel sized one in my purse.
This product WORKS!

I love this product. I use for all of my needs instead of using vaseline type products. I used this from a diaper rash to my feet. I would not use any other product!

My mother had two strokes. She is in a wheelchair. She gets pressure sores. I tried everything. Nothing seemed to heal them. My husbands Aunt told me about it. I tried it on mom and within a few days the sores started to heal and shrink. This stuff is the best.

I know this product is for cows and pets, but I use it on my lips like a lip bam, and it works for chapped lips. love love love it. it doesn't have any fruity smells which I like. I use it everyday.

It is great for very dry skin. Put in on at night before you go to bed and your hands and feet are so soft. It helps to heal really chapped skin.

I have been using bag balm for many years, I have used it on many cuts and abrasions, I even used it on my tattoo.. I have found nothing that promotes healing as well as this wonderful, time tested, mother approved product..and it work's GREAT on chapped hands as well as other parts of the body..

My son is the master of all types of rashes and nothing would work everything seemed to make it worse. My sister suggest Bag balm and with in 2 days the rashes where lighter and pain was gone. I also recommand it to my sister and her son's rashes went away in a Day.

I had a ringworm that took up all most my whole forehead.I had been on three diffrent antibotiacs and numerus oinments,and none had worked.My grandmother gave me some Bag Balm and with in 48 hours the ring worn was gone.I keep some at home,car,work,and in my purse.I swear by this product.
