This razor is easy to use, doesn't nick due to clogging, and lasts 3-4 times longer than next toughest multiblade. Down side is that it's nearly impossible to find in a store.
Their perfomance is such that I'll go to great lengths to get them rather than use poorly designed alternatives.

This is the best razor I've ever used I don't understand why they are not avaiable in the stores anymore, it is the closes shave a have ever gotten and I 've tried many razors.
I had the store manager order the product for me, but ordering a few packs online and doing some other shopping actually saved me some money! [...]
I am no "IBM" exec. so I don't shave every day. I shave every two or three days, and no razor I have ever used works as well for this type shaving as the Bic Metal. Those multi blade cheese graters work fine if you are shaving that evening or even the next day, but to knock down a three day growth quick and smooth, no other tool on earth works this well.
They used to be easy to locate in Silicone Valley, but got to where I had to special oder them and few places would do it.

USE TO SHAVE AND TO TRIM MY GOATEE, WIFE USES TO SHAVE HER LEGS AND THEY LAST LONGER THEN OTHER RAZERS.
THEY STAY SHARP FOR A LONG TIME.
HAD TO FIND WHERE I LIVE. I WILL BUY THEM AS LONG AS I CAN FIND THEM.

Great everyday shaver for those who need to trim accurately around beard & moustach. Small shaving head lets you see exactly where you're going to remove hair. Sleek overall design takes little room in shaving kit when traveling. Multiple blade razors shave me so close I end up with in-grown hairs. This razor is close but not overly so.

As a Lutheran Pastor I am under scrutiny by many people. After using my Bic Metal Razor I feel ready to meet the crowd. I use my razor to shave twice, once with the grain of the whiskers and then after lathering again shaving against the grain. Talk about a clean shave!

Great all around single blade razor, dosent get gooped up and clogged.
I've used this razor for years...LOVE IT... I get the closest shave with it.....Only problem is that I have TROUBLE finding them in stores but now I can order them online....It's a GREAT product without that gooey strip!!!!!!
I have been shaving my face since the 6th grade, and I have never recived more the one cut per shave. I got about four diffrent cuts with the 1st use of this razor, and terrible razor burn. It is a terrible cheap razor.

This is absolutely the best disposable razor. Very, very sharp but does not use chemical laden, mystery strips that can cause a rash. First use of each shaver can be prone to nicks if you don't prepare your face first (hot wash in shower). Only problem is that Bic Metal(s) can be hard to find [...] Elvis used it.

This is, honest to God, the ONLY razor my husband swears by. We never knew we could order it online and the poor guy has been using other brands and suffering. Never again - keep up the good work by carrying this brand. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I lightly dry shave with one after using electric razor on my beard. It does not pull, snag or cut and stays sharp longer than other brands. I only like single blade styles, and this one has the metal bar for stability and consistance. [...]
These razors are not easy to find on the East coast. Used to buy them all the time, because they last and give you a great shave!Finally, found them online and I order as many as possible so that I do not run out.

Go with the grain using a cheap disposable, then use this razor to go against the grain and you'll find that using it in this way will greatly lengthen the life of this razor. This is the Best razor for getting under the nose. I too have used this razor and technique for years, even in the military. I had to Purchase this razor by the case on the internet to stock up, I don't know why [...] stop selling it. It was almost sold out everytime I went in there to purchase it. Thanks to [...] for having it, I've used them in a pinch on several items no one else seems to want to carry anymore.
I have used this razor for 20 years, I think. It is very hard to find now, only online, and maybe a few [...] stores. They are made in France. It does'nt clog up, it does'nt cut the skin, it lasts for 2-3 weeks (if you clean and dry it) and it is inexpensive compared to the 4 blade junk. Let's see it in all the stores soon. I just bought 25 packages online.
I have used this razor for as long as I can remember. When it started disappearing from the major stores, I stocked up as best I could but now need more and I plan to make a major purchase online.
Much easier to rinse blade. With the multi-blade razors i had to beat against sink to remove hair

I have used this razor for the past 15 years.[...] My first thought was where can i buy this item by the case to store up. It is by far the best disposable razor ever. Nicks and cut are very minimal for the sensitive skin person. With twin blade disposables, i always end up with cut everywhere. The blade cleans easily and never gets clogged like others i have tried. [...]

As a Black Man who shaves his head daily, this product has no competition! It shaves extremly close and clean. It also allows you to do sensitive areas that need precise shaving like around the ears and neckline without chafing or razor bumps. It is excellent for trimming my Goatee as well. I have used this razor for years and have been very satisfied with it. It is light and easy to use. It shaves closely and without cutting.

I have been using the Bic Metal Razor for years. [...] As an African American shaving too close can cause razor bumps but I've never had that problem with this product. Its design is easy to rinse out and the blades stay sharp for up to five shaves!

The Bic Metal is the best disposable razor ever made. While razor and blade companies work tirelessly to convince you that you need 2-4 blades to get a good shave. That's bunk. These razors have a metal bar to press down the skin and then a sharp metal blade. There is NO second blade to clog with wiskers and stop shaving after the second wipe. These blades last for a few weeks of good shaves. Close shaves, No clogged razors, sharp blades. It's the next best thing to an old safety razor.

I have been shaving my whole head (almost) daily now for about 2-1/2 years. This is the only razor I will use! In the last 2.5 years I have tried literally tens of different brands and styles of razors, including other single-blade, twin, triple, and quad-blade razors, with and without "conditioning strips" (YUCK!) and even two different electric razors. The Bic Metal is without equal in the shaving world!
While I prefer the simplicity of and ability to shave my face in the car that an electric razor offers, electric razors are very irritating to my scalp and are not optimal for the closely spaced hairs of the scalp. When comparing the Bic Metal to other single blade razors, the Bic Metal shaves closer and with fewer passes than any other razor I have tried. The Metal also cuts longer hairs and is less susceptible to clogging. The difference between the Bic Metal and multi-blade razors is even more noticeable! First off, multi-blade razors do not handle longer hairs well at all! They require many more passes than the Metal and clog seemingly the instant they touch long hairs. The design of the Metal means little to no clogging even when shaving the densest and longest hairs.
The icing-on-the-cake so-to-speak is the lack of a slime-strip. I will decide if my head needs to be slimmed thank-you.
There are only 3 cons that I can think of with this razor:
1) You will probably cut yourself a few times while learning how to use this... The blade is a little more exposed than any other razor I have tried. But this weakness is also its strength in that it allows closer, faster shaving with less clogging.
2) It is not available in stores in my area. That means I have to have a good supply on hand.
3) It's not free. (It's not expensive, but honestly, who doesn't want something for nothing?)
I've used these since I was in basic training for the Army some years ago and have found no better razor. They give a close, clean and comfortable shave.

I have used this razor for years. Unfortunatly, I have not been able to find them in the local stores.
Suggest you start to carry them again.
I have been using this razor for several years because it's the best razor I've ever found. It's easy to clean, lasts for several days, and doesn't give me ANY NICKS or razor burn.

I shave my head and struggle to find a good razor that I can use on my head and face. I have gone through many MANY 1, 2 and 3 blade disposable and reuseable razors and this is by far the best one I have ever used. It is very well designed so it doesnt clog and it seems to stay sharp much longer than other disposable razors.
