Comments about Surgi-Wax Caramel Gold Cold Wax:

First off, just wanna put this out there: I'm a male. Not big on the whole body hair bit. Can (barely) accept that I've got it on my legs and other areas below the waist, but having it on my chest and belly is unacceptable. That said, I've used this product twice. The first time I used it, I'd shaved the areas before hand, and there was hardly any hair for the wax to grab ahold of, so there were all kinds of hairs that were missed in the huge patch that was otherwise flawlessly removed. Sadly, because of that, I ended up doing the same area multiple times, and it looked like I had had someone slapping me repeatedly until black and blue... and red, of course. But I went back the other day to [...] and picked this same kit up. Had the requisite 1/4" of hair on the areas to be waxed. Popped the wax in the microwave for ten seconds (this is optional, but I recommend it... makes the wax easier to manage), and then spread it on a small patch of hair on the left side of my chest. Rubbed the cloth strip over the wax, and after many hesitations, gave it that inevitable yank.I gotta say... this product lives up to all the claims on the box. It has a pleasant caramel scent to it, it removes hair quite efficiently if applied correctly, and I'm hoping (emphasis on hoping) that it'll last for eight weeks. I didn't manage to get all the hairs from each application, but on the bright side, the searing pain from ripping out all those hairs at once made the area so numb I couldn't feel it as I tweezed out the remaining insurgent hairs here and there.I'm not, by any stretch of the imagination, a glutton for pain, and I have a rather small pain threshold, but I'd liken the experience to running. It's horrible before you do it, but afterwards, you're left thinking, "Wow... that really wasn't so bad."Bleeding was minimal. Was nowhere near as bad as Steve Carrel in 40 Year Old Virgin. Just a couple spots here and there. And it does clean up rather well. The directions suggest warm water, but with my skin on fire from the experience, cold water sufficed just fine.In all, I'd definitely say this is worth the cost at the get go, but I'll have to wait to see just how long it lasts now that I was able to do it correctly and more efficiently to see if it's worth it in the long run.Four out of five, because perfection doesn't exist.

This was my first time using a spreadable wax, usually I do the strips. I did heat it up for about 20 sec to make it easier to spread. The cloths are pretty good size so you can take off a good chunk all at once. I did it on my bikini area and was really happy with the results.

Comments about Surgi-Wax Caramel Gold Cold Wax:

I have been a long time wax user and have been doing it at home for years. I just love not having to worry abt growth for weeks. Unfortunately my experience with this product was not good. It did not spread when cold and the instructions tell you not to warm it for more than 10 secs. I warmed it for 10 secs and that was no good either. It does not remove all the hair. I tried it on 3 different areas with the same result. I had to go over the same area 2-3 times and even then some hair is left behind with the end result looking like a case of poison ivy....

Comments about Surgi-Wax Caramel Gold Cold Wax:

I saw this product, and was hesitant about buying it. I have gone through almost every single waxing product, and this one is by far the best. The pros are that it doesn't need heating, similar to nads. Unlike nads, however, this product acutally works so much better. it gets the hair out with one swift movement. It is also very easy to clean up, and it comes with plenty of strips, and a nice applicator, which is plastic and it makes it easier to apply the wax. this product is great for legs and underarms (i refuse to try to do a bikini wax at home). When buying this product make sure you get this same product. I accidently bought a surgiwax that was similar to this one without the strips, and that was a HORRIBLE mess.
