The product works very well when applied according to directions. I used this on my daughter whose hair seems to have hooks for roots. I have never waxed before, but I watched a beautician wax my daughter's eyebrows several times. She always used an astringent to wipe the area first, then used a very light dusting of baby powder. Then the wax was applied as directed. The key is to stroke the strips at least three times FIRMLY before removal. Holding the skin taught with the free hand and pulling against the growth of the hair helped. I did this with this product and the results were superb.
It will make a mess if heated too long in the microwave oven. I heated it too long and it melted not just the wax, but the bottle too. It made a real mess in the microwave. Luckily it all pooled onto the glass turntable tray. The microwave tray was all that was messed up. The wax was allowed to cool enough to scrape it out. The tray was removed to a well ventilated place, I scraped out all I could, and we (my husband and I) used a solvent to clean up the residue. Mineral spirits (paint thinner) was extremely effective at dissolving the wax residue on the microwave oven tray. WARNING: NEVER USE MINERAL SPIRITS ON YOUR SKIN. MINERAL SPIRITS IS EXTREMELY FLAMABLE. ALWAYS USE IN A WELL VENTILATED PLACE. NEVER USE MINERAL SPIRITS INSIDE ANY OVEN. AND NEVER USE MINERAL SPIRITS AROUND ANY HEAT SOURCE, OPEN FLAMES, PILOT LIGHTS, OR SPARKS.
I read all the reviews and decided to still go with this product. I've been waxing for about 4 years and I usually go to a salon but can't find a good one where I live yet, so I decided to try the "over the counter" option. I love it. If you follow the directions...clean your legs, heat the wax (1 min), apply with wooden spatula in thin layers, remove in opposite direction of hair growth, you can't mess it up! It does get a bit sticky but the oil removes it pretty good. One piece of advice: make sure hair is long and you CAN use a strip more than once(since you only get 20 per package). I used one strip for about three swipes and it still picked up my coarse hair. I will continue to use this product when I can't get to a spa/salon.
Granted, I am pretty new at this but I found this product not only ineffective but also painful and terribly aggravating. I specifically searched for it online to warn others not to use it. You will not be able to get the wax off, no matter what you do, of your person or anything else with which it comes in contact!! I had very little success in terms of actually removing hair, maybe that comes with practice or time but I can assure you that I am willing to commit neither to this product. I could tolerate the pain had it only worked! (Tip: after trying everything, even nail polish remover, to get the wax off I finally had some success with baby oil- I would recommend it if you get in a rough situation)!
I followed directions to a Tee! My husband helped during the process. Did remove hair but ALSO removed skin.. I have a huge line of missing skin, right on my bikini line. It was bleeding and very red. This is the absolute worst product ever!!! This was not my first time waxing, so I knew what I was doing. Product also let the area very sticky.... DO NOT BUY!!! WASTE OF MONEY!! I will just have to shave the area once it heals..

First and foremost (disclaimer), I am an extremely hairy woman. I have used many, many products as well as make my own wax products at home. This product is by far the best--speaking on YEARS of experience.
I use it everywhere, literally! Regular locations--legs, arms, underarms, bikini (Brazilian)--as well as stomach, back, neck, shoulders, and especially the face.
This wax is the only one that cleans everything off quickly. Once you have warmed up the bottle, it will be a while till you need to warm it up again (except if you're using 'bottom of the jar' contents).
Messy vs Not Messy debate: (Another disclaimer before i start: I am a Chemist) This is product is not water soluble, so the leftover will not come off with just water. You have to use the disposable strips provided in the kit as well as the wooden spatulas. When applying, make sure the wax is warm and that it is NOT TOO THICK, if it is, then when you 'wax', you'll have a lot of leftover. If you do have left over, the oil included is sufficient enough to remove the wax. If you have a spill or too much leftover on your skin, mineral oil (baby oil) is just as good. If you do not have that oil, then experiment with other oils you have at home (ie cooking oil? EVOO?)
What I do: When I wax, I really wax! I have a tall-portable mirror (about 1.5 feet by 5 feet?) I set that down in the area I am comfortable in and get naked if I must. Have proper lighting. Lay down newspaper (just in case you spill the wax). Go nuts. =)
BOTTOM LINE:
Used many products for many years--I only use this now.
Read above for the messy vs. not messy debate--THIS IS NOT A MESSY PRODUCT provided you use it properly.
Does it hurt? I find all wax hurt just about the same way. Unless it has some chemical in it that numbs your skin. It is like telling people that the gold fish with smiles on it taste better than the ones without and they'll believe you! It's a marketing tactic. I was a Chemist for a Consumer Goods company years ago...trust me when I say it's a marketing tactic! =)
I hope this was helpful.
This is the worst wax I have ever used. I'm disappointed, too, because their previous extra-strength wax was amazing.
First of all, this does smell good. It looks like white chocolate. Hey, I wouldn't be surprised it if is because it doesn't remove hair at all.
I'm a frequent waxer and I know what I'm doing. But this product, no matter how long I had it on my skin for, would NOT remove hair.
Waxing isn't an enjoyable experience when you have good quality wax... so just imagine how upset you'll be if you try this garbage.
Do not buy it.

Do not ever use it. Stay away from it. Probably any other roll-ons are 1000 times better.
I hate this, would return it, If possible.

Used this product to give myself a brazilian wax. It stung a little but it took all of the hair off from the small of my back underneath to my belly button. I am soooo smooth now I love it. I will continue to use this product and recommend it highly. I am not worried about strays peeking from my bikini and my man loves the access with no interruptions down below.

I guess I just need more practice, but it doesn't seem worth all the work (and mess). It left my skin sticky, and didn't get all the hairs. I read all the instructions before trying it, and still experienced a fair amount of pain. In some areas I bled (yet most of the hair remained behind). I probably will not attempt again. It's much easier (and more effective) to shave.

This is a good wax kit for the price. If you have never waxed before be sure you know what you are doing when you use this product. Do not apply too much wax on the stick because this will hurt and will not get any hair out. Overall, what I like to do is microwave the wax for 30 minutes and wait for it to cool down. You know you have a good consistency when it is dripping easily off of the stick. This kit is perfect for underarms and the upper lip.
As with anything practice makes perfect!

By far the best experience waxing I've ever had! It grabbed EVERY hair in my bikini area no problem with the least amount of pain I've experienced. I will never use another waxing product. GREAT!

This was my first time waxing so i didnt really know what to look for. So I bought this stuff. After I microwaved it, I took the lid off and the stuff got everywhere because it stuck to the lid. That stuff is sticky as hell. And if you put too much on, it HURTSS!!!! It felt like I was trying to rip my skin off. After I was done waxing, there was wax everywhere and it took forever to clean up. Then i had to get the stuff off of me which was hard. But yeah I mean, it DOES get rid of hair if you put the right amount on. For me, the hair grew back fast and in some places, thicker. I dont know if thats just cause it was my first time. I tried it several other times. It got a little better cause I realized I had to put paper and stuff underneath the jar to prevent wax from gettin all over the place. And I put less on so it worked better, but it still left my skin red with cuts and did not remove all the hair. And it still hurt - A LOT.

i have tried many many waxes because i have very difficult to manage hair- including down there- this wax is by far superior to all i have tried, it is less painful than other waxes, it removes far more hair (all others i tried left small invisible hairs behind), more easily than other waxes, and it smells nice too.

It was a very bad experience. The wax got stuck to my skin pretty bad. I had to rub until my skin got really sore and red. It sucks big time!!!!

I was petrified about waxing my legs at home-- when I went to a salon it was so painful. This product was relatively painless, though! If you follow the instructions carefully (!) it works very well. It was a little messy the first time I tried it, but the more you use it the easier it gets. I can't wait to try my bikini line for when I go on vacation! My only complaint was that there isn't a whole lot of wax, though if it's properly heated to the correct consistency it lasts longer.
By far the best and easiest home hair removal product I've used. Also comparatively inexpensive. Just follow the directions exactly and the results are great. The only downside is that there aren't enough strips included with the product to use up all the wax.
Of all the hair removers I've tried. This is the only one that actually removes all the hair the first time. Express wax and the others miss a lot of hair. I think it's worth the effort of having to maybe remove the extra wax from your skin. If you do it carefully you wont have any extra. It always hurts the worst the first two times. And you can also use each cloth more than once. I use it Two or Three times.

VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD!
I was used to going to a salon for waxing and tried it for the first time in december. have used it twice now and its very smooth and easy to use for evn areas like bikini line. However, i feel that the strips are less compared to the quantity of wax. I have almost half bottle full of wax left but have run out of the strips.
