My hair was terrible before I bought this- curly, frizzy, thick, and completely unmanageable. It took about an hour to go through the whole process and I seriously can't believe how great my hair looks now without ANY work. I'm so excited!! I'll definitely be using it again and again.

THIS PRODUCT IS HORRIBLE. ALL THE DIRECTIONS WERE FOLLOWED. AFTER 3 MINUTES MY HAIR STARTED BREAKING OFF AND FALLING OUT IN CLUMPS. MY HAIR WAS NOT COLOR TREATED. AFTER WASHING IT OUT I COULD BARELY COMB IT. MY HAIR IS COMPLETLY DAMAGED NOW & IT RUINED THE ENDS SO BAD THAT MY ONCE LONG HAIR IS NOW A SHORT CROP DO AND THE DAMAGE IS STILL VISIBLE. I TRIED TO GO THE WEBSITE TO COMPLAIN AND IT IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE!

This product worked a little but not a lot. It made my hair more POOFY once it was all done with a dried out. I may try it again to see what the second results will be. I made my curls a bit straighter but I'm finding that my hair is still frizzy and poofy, and more damaged because of this product. It must be for people with very thin hair because it didn't work on my thick stuff.

I have very thick, long, "poodle" like hair texture...Ogilvie Straightner tamed my hair (Perms do not hold and last for me - I've tried)...I always looked like a fluffy cloud of poodle coming with the tail length of a dragon...now my hair looks like ribbons of satin...I used it Memorial Day Weekend 2008 and it's still good to go...I will do another application Labor Day weekend to stay on the 3-month schedule.

I have very curly, color treated, fairly dry and frizzy hair. I CAREFULLY follwed the directions. I paniced slightly when I saw hair in the comb, but my hair does that when its wet and I comb it through anyway so I commited to the ENTIRE process.
I saw AMAZING immediate results . My hair was surprizingly softer and it lasted. It made flat ironing my hair in the middle of August a first for me However, after resding these reviews I think it only works well om really curly hair.

I put this on and it couldn't comb through. I started to get some hair building up on the comb and i rinsed it out. I have normal wavy hair. So now I'm left with damaged, smelly hair. And I mean really damaged.

This is fairly easy to use if you follow the instructions carefully, and the results are excellent. One treatment for wavy (not curly) hair lasts about 6 weeks. The odor is not too strong and vanishes in about a day.

This left my hair only slightly straighter and a lot more damaged. The instructions also have you constantly comb this into your wet hair, which any stylist would tell you is a no. I think it works better on really curly hair instead of just wavy hair.

I live in a humid place and am constantly battling frizz. After using this product, I can blow out my hair and it lasts no matter how humid it is. It also gets rid of the poufiness and my hair feels silky smooth. I found it easy to apply despite the fact that I have long, thick hair.

A while ago, I got a really bad perm. After waiting a couple of moonths, I used this to try and get rid of it...and that's exactly what it did!! My hair is now pin straight and I LOVE it! The only downside is the smell, which only lasts a few days. I would totally buy this again!!

Comments about Ogilvie Ogilvie Salon Styles Conditioning Hair Straightener 1ea.:

I have straightened my hair many times, but I usually just buy a cheap perm and comb it through my hair. This time I saw the actual straightener and I was happy to see it. It was more expensive so of course I figured it was a better product. WRONG!!! It was very simple to use - I had a friend help me just to make sure I got it on even. Now 2 days later - my hair is coming out in clumps!!! My hair is very fine to begin with and I am in a wedding in a week and a half...I am completely mortified!!!!

Pros:
Controls Frizz, Easy To Use
Cons:
Messy, Strong Odor
Best Uses:
Curly Hair
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Ogilvie Ogilvie Salon Styles Conditioning Hair Straightener 1ea.:

I had gotten a perm and even 6 months after it was still ugly and frizzy, and just.. disgusting looking! Before the perm I had beautiful, silky, smooth, strait hair. After using this I had my hair back!!! I can finally run my fingers through my hair again! I didn't even follow the instructions the way they were written! I was so obsessive with getting my strait hair back that I didn't care if the chemical touched my skin, or scalp.. nothing bad happened. The only thing I really paid attention to is to CONSTANTLY keep my hair combed and strait while the chemicals were working their magic. I also used ALL the chemicals that came in the bottles. And, I did it all by myself!! And it worked. Yeah, my hair is a bit rough but a good conditioner and a nice leave-in conditioner you would never even know! :-)

I have never used anything else other than this product. I have had all sorts of creams, flat irons, hair spray, mousse, but this is permanant until hair grows out and unbelievably cheaper than at the salon. I immediately see results. I have very frizzy, coarse, hair that is very curly and unmanagable, but now I have normal hair and nobody knows or can believe that my hair is not naturally straight. I love this product!!!!!! It is the best!!!!

I will never use again
By Sick from Gadsden,Al. on 11/24/2006
Pros:
Did not want to give 1 st
Cons:
I have a huge bald spot, My hair fell out
Best Uses:
None

Comments about Ogilvie Ogilvie Salon Styles Conditioning Hair Straightener 1ea.:

I bought this product [...] and it definitely straightened my normally curly hair
I followed the directions exactly and did not leave it in the maximum time. The next day I noticed my hair was coming out. The next day I had a bald spot on the crown of my head about the size of an egg. Now 4 days later it has increased so much in size that I can barely cover it with my remaining hair on top. And it is still breaking off and coming out. I am sick. I work outside the home and this is terribly embarrassing. I may have to get a wig if anymore comes out. I will never use this product ever again. I do not have colored or permed hair.
