My friend Justin and I decided that we wanted new color in our hair! Well guess what? I just so happened to get Lusty Lavender Splat dye for X-mas! XD.

My hair is coarse, dry and brittle, so I was just a bit iffy. My friend Justin, hadn't dyed his hair so it was easy on his.

I used the bleach anyway, and surprisingly, my hair actually got a little better in condition.

Anywho, I added blue to the dye, Hot Topic stuff and my hair came out, great! I already had red, so now I have these colors: Red, black, blue, pink, purple, orange and blond! It's freaking the best hair ever!!!

As for Justin, dude's got a single pink band. Lol. He likes it anyway!

Highly recommended for those who aren't afraid of uniqueness!!!

I have used this hair dye about three times. each time was a new color,red, pink, and blue. each time it worked great! although you do have to re-touch it about every 2-3 weeks.
Its probobly one of the best types of hair dye i have ever used.

me and my friend picked some up at rite aid and did it. First i was doing my friends tip . we rapped her tips up in tin foil then got a hair blower and put it on high heet and did it like 4 for 30 mins. then after we rinsed and shampooed it out she decied to keep the blonde becasue it was a awesome platniumm color there was no orange. but me my hair level is 1 my hair is pitch extreamly black. I did my bangs. then after i rinsed it out after a hour i didnt like it so i left it in for another hour and it comes out a golden color.The bleach works well and it isnt to damaging but i wish this stuff came with after color conditionor also i didnt use the red yet i am doing it tonight i just wanted to give my hair a break. So for the bleach it works extreamly well. well the powder is hard to get out of the packet wich was so annouing buit anway great stuff im gonna use it again.

This was amazing hair dye. It stayed in my hair for a lot longer than the 6 weeks stated on the box. I dyed mine red in April 2008, and it was still red when i dyed it over with the purple in July 2008. I'd definetly suggest putting the vasaline on your hair line, ears, etc, because it is hard to get off of your skin, but, toothpaste helps to get it off of your hands, arms, etc.
Also, if you have a natural hair color that is easy to dye over (blonde-light brown) I would suggest not using the bleach, because I had bleached strips in my hair and it came out faster than it did in the natural section.
A hint, if you are going to dye over the color, don't bleach it first. I had red in my hair and my hairstylist used really strong bleach (stronger than what comes with) and it turned the red bright orange, and the natural color that was growing out blonde.
Out of all the colored hair dyes I have bought, this was definetly the best deal, and stayed in for the longest, so I would definetly reccomend it.

My natural color is a gross, muddy brown. About four months ago, I decided to bleach and dye my hair bright red, using a bleach and dye made by the same company as Color Oops. Well, this morning, I decided that I was sick of the red. It's time for something new. Anyway, I read a lot of these reviews, then headed to Walgreens to buy purple dye and Color Oops.

The set-up is so easy. Just add bottle 1 to bottle 2 and twist the bottle a few times to mix it. It does smell, but not too bad. I left it on for twenty minutes, rinsed as instructed, and now I've got pinkish orange hair, which is an okay base for my purple, I suppose. It took a lot of dye out, and with the pink base, I can easily switch colors, but I'm not sure that I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't want a red/orange tint to their hair, or anyone who wants a huge, dramatic change in one application.

This stuff got everywhere. I looked as if I had murdered someone the next day, because the red was all over my hands and even on my arms. But it really is a great color, it just won't go away. I didnt even use the included bleach, but it's been about 8 months and you can see traces of it in my hair now and then.

this stuff is amazing. its really easy to use and it looks great. most people say that its messy, but if your careful its really not. lusty lavender is awesome too, but it kinda turned out pink. that doesnt really matter cause it still looks cool. Splat is my hero!

This stuff worked great! I have been wanting to go bright red for quite some time now, and finally purchased Splat! at a local beauty store. Bleach is included, which was nice. There wasn't much of it, but I was lucky because I have short hair. If you have longer than shoulder length hair, I would recommend buying a seperate bleach kit to use. I would also say that you should definitely bleach your hair before applying the red, unless you have light hair already. It doesn't take well if you have medium/coarse brown or black hair.
The color was a bit watery so be careful not to stain your towels and clothing. I used patroleum jelly around my ears, neck and forehead to prevent it from staining my skin (which it will do!). Try your hardest to keep the color about 1/4 inch away from your scalp. It will stain your scalp for sure.
Overall, Splat! is a wonderful product. I used only a small portion of the red color that was provided and ended up with a bright pink shade, which I love! If you want your final color to be more red, I would recommend adding a lot to your hair (possibly even a second bottle) and allow it to sit under a plastic cap for an hour or more.

This product is great! I used it last summer because my friend told me about it, she said it faded out really fast, but mine stayed in for a month and half then started fading barely. Now i just bought another box because i love this product so much! Even though it stains ALOT, and its really liquiding, the result is perfect.

I love this product. It is messy though, the color part of it. It does stain instantly so I would recommend buying some of the hair color remover wipes too because if you get it on your face or ear or something, it's gonna be there a few days. I use this when I dye my hair black and red and it looks great for a long time. If the color fades, you can just mix a little bit with your shampoo and revive the color some. I also recommend using the plastic cap that comes with it when you apply the color part of it, and also heating it with a blow dryer also helps make the color more permanent and vibrant. Overall, I would suggest this hair dye and I am actually going to buy more today. :)

i bought 2 boxes of this stuff and after 4 hours of useing them there was NOTHING in my hair. NO COLOR, NOTHING!!! it is ridiculous!!! at my drug store this product is not cheap and im really aggregated that after 4 hours of sitting and dyeing my hair i got nothing. i WOULD NOT recommend this product to anyone!!!

I used it on my unbleached hair,and lefi it on for one hour.My hair is a very shocking red,and it has barely faded.I highly recommend this if you want to turn heads.I have used Raw and a few others and they dont even compare!

I have used RAW (hot rod red), SFX (nuclear red), and Manic Panic (vampire red) over the last 3+ years in an attempt to keep my hair bright, fake red. Splat is (by far) the BEST red I've ever used. It lasts forever, hardly bleeds, and gets tons of compliments. I suggest leaving the color portion in as long as you can stand to (2+ hours), and covering your head with a plastic bag while the dye sets.

I get compliments on my hair all the time with this red color.I dye my hair all the time with bright fun colors and this is one hair dye that seems to stay bright and last long.

I did a test stand on my natural haircolor that I thought was really pretty. However, I bleached my hair (I have thick hair, a couple inches above shoulder length) and there was not enough bleach so it came out uneven. The bleach mixing required a funnel of some sort since you have to pour a packet of powder into a bottle. The dye was a mess, running all over the place, although I am used to traditional permenant hair dyes which may be thicker. The color faded to pink-orange within a couple washes. Also, this stuff stains instantly - take the warning and be very careful.

I used it to brighten my hair up and give it something new and chic but it didn't last very long. In fact, maybe 5 washings or so and it had faded to a pinkish color. By the time I could dye it again it was an ugly orangish color that is really undescribable. I wouldn't pay [$] for this unless you really just want it for a little while.

I've used ALOT of alternative hair dye's ,but this has proven to be the only one that works like a regular color hair dye.Im in love with SPLAT I've used the blue envy aswell .Both great product only bad thing is it tends to get a little messy.
Over all two thumbs up!!!
