It did nothing for my pitch black hair. I have tried the bleach which wasn't enough for me(my hair is a little below shoulder length, so I recommend two boxes of this if you want to completely cover your head or if you have thick hair). The bleach didn't lift at all, my hair has been processed before, so I left it in for an hour and even tried the shower cap/blowdrying method. The color immediately washed right out and is nowhere to be seen in my hair. I would not recommend this to those that have processed hair. This product probably works best on light or virgin hair.

I use this dye on sections of my hair, and it turns out VERY bright. It's amazing. It's easy to use and doesn't take long to apply.

The only problem is that it's a bit messy to apply. Getting it on your skin means blue (or pink, or red, or purple) skin for a few days. But that's okay; the colour is worth it!

OMG!! the product woAw..im not gonna say it sucks cauz i guess it worked for others but im 15, wit dark hair and i wanted to try something different, this was my first time dying it a kRAZY color. so i colord the bottom half of my hair wit the lusty lavender! IT WAS HORRIBLE! seriosly after i took a shower it wasn't purple anymore it was BRIGHT ORANGE wit BLONDE AND GOLD n ugh!! and it won't let me color over it so im stuck wit this gross look! and its sooo messy! it'll stain ur skin and everything it comes in contact. The bleach dryed out in a matter of seconds and did i metioned it leaves a nasty color behind!! so if u wanna take the risk go ahead but jus know that it doesn't work for everyone.

Ok so i decided to get this hair dye in this color, and before i used the pink fetish and lusty lavendar and i used the pink for streaks well since i got the blue, i was bleaching and the pink would not leave and my friend dyed her hair black and it didn't cover up the pink, otherwise its a good product

i used this dye for the first time, on a recomendation from a friend...never again...it was said to last 6 weeks, and so far, its been 9 and it hasnt began to fade in any way. its a great color, but it just wont fade...ive dyed my hair darker, trying to hide a bit of it, or make it fade...nothing

This dye is amazing. I dye my hair like its going out of style, and have pretty much used every brand of dye known. The color is so bright and lasts FOREVER! only bad side is it dyed my entire bathroom pretty much :[ but i could get most of it off with tile cleaner and soap :]

I've tried many different dyes for a shocking, vibrant color and was thoroughly dissatisfied with everything until I tried this. I was pleasantly pleased with it, despite the fact that I had to bleach my entire tub and my fingernails are now blue since I have small hands and the dye managed to get into the gloves. That and the fact that the bleach thickens so there's less bleach than dye, which is a problem if you have darker hair. I ran out of bleach and I have pretty short hair--turned out okay though, just some black tips since my hair is pretty dark. Oh, and the dye smells like sunscreen, which I found a little odd but it smells better than the tub cleaner!

Even though it is messy its the best product. I dye my hair jet black and even though I had to add more peroxide to the bleach it was getting dry and lumpy. I didn't wait 30 min for the color to set and it came out great. I'm going to try the other colors to see.

i'm an art school student so i've been every color under the sun and i've used every hair color product known to man. i have mixed feelings about this product. i have dark brown hair and i like to bleach streaks in my hair and then color them weird colors with semi-permanent hair color. well, this is some powerful stuff. i didn't expect it to be so concentrated. i had to bleach my entire bathroom and the blue is still in my towels. i made the mistake of rising my hair while i was showering, so it sprayed blue almost to my ceiling! i only bought it because the bleach was included. i used the blue to tip my hair. the color was gorgeous, but i think it may be too permanent for me. it's lasting forever.

I had bought the red splat a couple of years ago and loved the bright red color. A few days ago I tried this blue dye. I was afraid it wasn't going to work, seeing as I have dyed jet-black hair, but it did, and the color is amazing - shiny, bright, and rich! On top of it, it doesn't smell at all, except for the bleach.

The worst part about this product is that it stains like mad. My hands are still blue, and the bathtub required bleaching and scrubbing for five hours to PARTIALLY remove the color, as did my marble sink. I am terrified to take a shower as I am afraid I am going to have to dedicate several hours of scrubbing to pay for the blue color. My advice is to cover everything in plastic, coat yourself in vaseline, and act like if any of the color touches anything, it will explode.

I love this product! I would definatly reccomend this to a friend. It looked like i came out of a salon and the color was great. The only complaint I have was it's alittle messy so you have to be very careful (it does stain!) and it doesnt last very long but if your looking for a great new look you should give it a try!

I'm not very old, I'm only 13 and I bought this product. My hair was dark brown, and even with the help of my friend the bleach ended up turning my hair white, platnuim, gold, dark blonde, bright blonde, light brown and my natural color. The gloves ripped and once I got the blue in my hair, I waited about two hours. I rinsed it out, staining my shirt, towels, the wall, bathtub nosel, bathtub mat and bathtub. My hair was so many colors, it was green and yellow and blue and brown. The color lasted for about 5 months and it looked HORRIBLE as it rinsed out.

My boyfriend bought this product because he wanted to have blue colored hair. It was hard to put the bleach on because it dried too quickly. The blue dye was the opposite- it was very runny. It dripped every where, stained my shirt, stained the bathroom sink and the tub as well as our skin.

I used this stuff to change my hair for an Anime convention, I bleached and dyed about a week out and was still plenty strong come the con. As others have stated, I guess you could say that it fades, but it says it only lasts so many washes. (shampoo absolutely makes it take a hit) But as long as you add a little bit of the dye itself to your shampoo every time you shower, it's still as lively as ever. Absolutely love the color, in dark rooms people couldn't even tell it was blue unless they were really looking, i love things that aren't so "in your face" as the other colors in this line. So yea, in short, it fades, but easily maintainable imo.

Okay, bottom line. I heard about this product from a friend of my mom so I decided to try it since I was looking for something new. I mean I have had the pink, green, orange, blonde, red, brown and of course my natural jet black but, I felt like it was time to be really different and Splat made it work for me. My color is actually lasting longer than the allotted time and its turning purple as it wears off so i'm loving it more. It is an eye catcher for sure. I'm going to try the Lucious Rasberries next. beautiful color yes it stains but it sayss that on the box i have been useing splat since i was 12 i am now 18 alcohol pads take the stains right off (like magic) color does last if you know how to use it ( i got no clue what that other guy was talkin about it not lasting) i personally dont use the bleach they have with it because i have naturally black hair but over all its great!

Ok it makes ur hair have a good color but you can not take showers wiht it in. I had to dye my hair so many times. It says last up to 9 wks my ars. It is good for tattoos tho. I jus hope i dont get no poison tho.But if you only want ur hair a different color for 2 wks then use it.

I'm 14 and my 8th grade administrator hates me, so what better way to make her mad by dyeing my hair blue?
my mother only let me do streaks though, so we bought this product and I bleached the streaks and put on the color and presto! Shocking, bright blue hair! I absolutely loved the outcome.
it does take a little time (but I'm impatient, haha) and is is very, VERY messy. it stains skin and washes off the skin in about 3 showers. But it was very much worth it.
and the look on my administrators face? priceless.
I would definitely recommend it and use it again

First time using bleach so I had a few streaks of natural hair color afterwards. Could see results of bleach coming in as it processed.

The product info says it stains easily and it is RIGHT! If I wasn't fast enough went washing out the dye everything from head to toe would be blue! Some other areas of hair were slightly dyed in the end. Bleach was needed to clean the tub afterwards. Always wear gloves. Need plenty of time for whole process, esp. if you bleach dark hair.

End result is fabulous. Bright, extreme color. Would get more colors in the future for sure.

im 14. and i must say that i love this dye. i have used it about 5 times and i have had blue hair scence 5th grade. I LOVE IT!!! now yes it is messy. but what do you expect from the name " SPLAT"
i have VERY thick hair and i usualy have to use 2 to 3 bottles of hair color to dye my hair. but with splat. i only had to use 1 bottle!!!
i do recommend however that you put lotion on your hands so the dye wont stick and put patrolium jelly around your hairline.

I used this product this morning, sans bleach kit since my bangs are already bleached blonde. I left it in for about 2 hours, and heated it, but that's just me being extreme: I'm sure the alotted 30 minutes will do fine. I do suggest however, that you clean up any stains on the skin IMMEDIATELY, because now I have blue blotches all over my hair line. I did it with brown hair, which is not really a great combination - I suggest black or blond to match, but the color is still brilliant even in cloudy weather. Can't give any sort of info on how long it lasts yet, though.Highly suggested.[...]
