I had never tried the Jane product before and for me it seems like a great make-up. Has a smooth natural look. For years I used the liquid form of base make-up thinking the powder would fall off. LOL. My skin is dry and oily so the liquid would blotch up after awhile. The powder don't blotch up like the liquid. Hey I'm sold!!!!!!! I may never use liquid again. Thanks, Kim Harris

I have uneven skin and i thought it would cover everything but it didn't. it's easy to put on and easy to take off but it's ineffective and doesn't cover anything.and if you do get it don't pick the natural because it makes my skin look orange!

Contains Bismuth which can really irritate the skin plus cancerous Parabens. The applicator is useless so look for natural mineral makeup there are plenty out there that are better all around. Skip this one.

I absolutley love this stuff! It is so smooth and silky on my face. I put a little tinted moisturizer on my face before applying it and have had great results with it. I wanted to see what all the "rave" was about with the mineral makeup, so I thought I would try it for the price. I can't see paying more money for anything else.

I wanted to give this Mineral foundation a try. when i used it the first time, my face was so shiny and felt soo heavy and itchy and i though it was my moisturizer. But the second i put it on with a mattifying moisturizer, i felt itching again in my face and the coverage is poor.

Buyer Beware if you have any scars, pores or wrinkles this product will accentuate them. The sponge is a bad idea, using a brush leaves it streaky; the natural 04 color is too dark to be considered natural. Shame on me for trying this product.

This stuff is fabulous, I have to admit I was more then a little skeptical about a powder foundations ability to cover and stay on, but boy was I surprised! It is so soft and smooth, it feels great and even makes your skin feel silky. It is not hard to apply at all, although I would recommend getting/using your own powder brush because the puff that it comes with is kinda funky and hard to use. But if you just pop the puff off and use a brush it is perfect! I will never buy another foundation again, it covers great, feels great, comes off easy (when you want to wash your face) and it is WAY cheaper then other mineral makeups out there. Dont waste your money, unless your looking for the name, this stuff is the best!

I bought this product because of the price and the lack of talc, which clogs pores. The applicator is a sponge attached to the container. By tapping the sponge, the powder is supposed to "flow" through. It did not flow through enough to get even coverage. Plus, I'm not sure I think wiping that sponge all over my face everyday is the best idea for avoiding acne. I removed the sponge and apply it with a blush brush. The powder turns darker on your face, after application, but overall it has good coverage. It's light too, if you don't go crazy.
I don't know about other users of this product, but after replacing the lid after using this for the first time, I can't get the lid back off. Overall, I would say the worst thing about this product is the packaging.

I love this product! I live in Michigan but when I went to Florida on vacation and totally broke out from sweating in the muggy heat. I went to Walgreens to find a good coverup I could wear when we went out to dinner. I'd always wanted a good mineral foundation but had never found one I liked, and it was very frustrating to have such bad acne. I saw the Jane display, and this makeup for only [$], and I thought it wouldn't hurt to try. I ended up LOVING IT! It kept my face from sweating, and it covered up my acne! I have been looking for good makeup to replace the typical foundation and powder (I used to use Cover Girl foundation and a separate loose powder) as my skin is sensitive and after a few hours of wear my makeup was getting blotchy and streaky.

I tried this makeup and it works great. I agree with the other reviews that you do need to use your own powder makeup brush though as I do not like the applicator with this product.

I would also caution that when you first apply the makeup it appears lighter than what it will end up as. I have fair skin and bought the fair color powder, it goes on almost white but transitions to a darker color after a minute or less. Next time I am going to have to try the translucent as the fair is actually too dark for me.

The packaging is totally ineffective on both this foundation and on the powder in the portable brush contraption, but once you get these products out and into powder sifters and use your own blunt brush, the foundation buffs perfectly into the skin, and the powder layers over it to create an effect exactly like the more expensive Bare Essentuals. You also get a lot of product for your money. There's absolutely no reason whatsoever to buy the more expensive stuff, unless, of course, you're after the name.

I love this product! It really can't get any better... great product at an outstanding price! I have very sensitive skin & after watching all those infomercials about mineral makeup I decided to head down to my mall's "makeup & beauty superstore". I paid a whole lot for the "get started kit" but figured it would be worth it. I immediately went home, washed my face & tried my new makeup only to be very disappointed... definitely a waste of my hard earned money. The next day I was at my local [...] & saw the JANE display. I figured I could at least try it out... I got home & loved it! I've been wearing it for a few months & love it more everyday. My skin looks great! I do have mild acne right before my period each month & this makeup covers extremely well. Now hear this: just last weekend I was at that same "makeup & beauty superstore" & a total stranger walked up to me (after following me around the store for a mintue) & asked what kind of makeup I wore. She said she had been looking at everyone else's makeup in the store & mine was the only one she liked. She was so excited when I told her I had got it at a drugstore. TRY THIS MAKEUP & IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, THEY WILL TAKE IT BACK!!!!!!!!!

After seeing the TV ads for Bare Minerals and Sheer Cover I wanted to find a mineral makeup for my sensitive skin without getting locked into an expensive monthly membership. I picked the fair color which matched my skin perfectly and for once I did not have to blend two colors of makeup to match my fair skin that has a cool undertone. This makeup also can be used as a concealer. I apply my face sunblock lotion then once it dries I use a concealer brush to apply the makeup to any under eye dark circles and to cover redness on my cheeks. Since the sponge applicator was useless I poured the makeup into a cleaned plastic loose powder container then tap a small amount into the lid. Just get a good face brush swirl and tap and buff. I finish up with the light mineral crushed powder and colorless pressed mineral powder. My skin has cleared up even more then when I used the Max Factor pan stick makeup which tends to melt in the Texas heat. Now I only get a one blemish a month if I don't get enough sleep. The makeup looks great from morning to evening. I have gotten two friends using the Jane makeup and they both love it and the price.

I thought this really wouldn't be that great of a product because it is so low in price but I love the way my skin looks after I apply this. I like it even better than the more expensive mineral foundations out there. However, I use it more like a finishing powder on top of a liquid foundation than I do as a foundation all itself. But I love it nonetheless.

I took the applicator off, too, and just tap some into the lid and apply with a makeup brush.

How are you supposed to cover the under-eye area, sides of your nose, etc. with a hard foam applicator. The applicator isn't comfortable to use on my face either.

i was surprised with this product . i expected this foundation to be a just like a powder bc of its reasonable price, but it really isn't . it's WAY BETTER . i have really dry/combo skin and the application was so easy i cut my time putting on foundation in half . the only thing that i would say is that the colorless foundation really isn't colorless . it's darker than the fair foundation, which confused me bc i thought colorless meant barely there . lols. and also i would suggest cutting off the sponge applicator. and for the most natural finish i would tap a little bit of foundation onto the cap, swirl my brush into it, tap the excess, and buff . hope this helps !

This is the best mineral make-up you will ever find in a drugstore!! The only thing I dislike is the sponge/puff applicator. I wish they would sell it without the applicator attatched. I was lucky to purchase one where I could unscrew the applicator and use my regular kabuki brush. However, the first one I purchased I couldn't unscrew the applicator.
I am definately stocking up on this product!!

I love this stuff. I hate heavy foundations, but my flawed skin needs full coverage products. This stuff is easy to apply, lasts all day, and is so light it doesn't even feel like you're wearing makeup. It doesn't get sticky, and doesn't rub off on your clothes, (I have really oily skin and I've never had this problem with this product). Bottom line: this is the best mineral foundation for the price on the market.

My only complaint about this product is the attached powderpuff. It was a bad idea and doesn't work well. I simply cut it off and use a foundation brush to brush on the product. I use the powder mineral makeup first topped with the loose powder. I think it gives good coverage and doesn't look like you have paint on your face like with many liquids and creams. If you have major acne the coverage will not be enough with a powder but, otherwise, if you're simply looking to evenout slight discolorations or blemishes it should be good. The price is really good so hopefully Jane will continue with this line.
