I think that you have to try several products to find one that works for you. I currently have acne problem and this product didn't help me the way I would have liked. It goes on smoothly and last long. However, I do agree with the other ladies, although it last longs, I did have to wash my face twice after each use to remove it. It's not a bad product, I just think that there is something else that may work better for my skin type (sensitive, not oily except for my nose, prone to acne when under stress). Good luck to everyone in finding what works best for them.

this product is AMAZINGGGG :]] i tried it for the first time a few years ago and i decided to try it again and im so glad i did. being a teenager i have bad skin with acne and acne scars. i could never find a makeup that would cover my stubborn acne scars or acne for that matter but the brush gives the great coverage but looks totally natural. this product doesnt cause acne or flare ups, its easy to remove,doesnt clog pores i use it with a primer to make it last longer and it controls shine which is amazing!

This loose mineral powder is very buildable. It can provide light to medium coverage depending on how much you apply. It covered the few zits and acne scars I had and provided a nice glowing look.

However, I agree with the other reviewers that it is very hard to completely remove this makeup from your face. I wash my face twice a day, and at night use a toner if I wore makeup that day. This makeup was still coloring the cotton ball that I used for the toner two days after application! If it stays on the face that long, I'm sure it can't be good for the pores.

this is the worst makeup i've ever used!!! it made me breakout horribly and made my existing pimples worse!! And as any powder , it accentuated my dry spots and looked gross. It was also very inconvenient to use, the cap with sifter was sooo small, if i swirled the brush too fast, the stuff would fly everywhere! And because it wouldn't fit any other brush, i had to use that terrible scratchy brush that came with it, and it irritated my face, bottom line.....i'll stick with Organic Wear makeup for now....

I am 14,and everytime i wore it, u could tell i was wearing it. it is very powdery, an just a waste. this sucks. do not waste your money on this, if u do, its your loss. if u buy it, it will b very dissapionting. I'm 14 and a freshman in high school! Okay, so my absoulute favorite foundation in the world is Loreal Mineral Foundation. I have a little acne scarring and usually makeup doesn't totally cover them and this does! It looks really natural if you get the right shade! I swear by it! All I do after that is apply a lot of mascara and maybe a little eyeliner on the inside rim of the eyes on the bottom lid. Because the foundation works sooooooo well that's all I need! This product is really great. The key to using it is to make sure that your moisturizer is not tacky to the touch. Also make sure you tap the brush to get excess powder off. Then just start swirling. If you have a blemish, just take your fingertip and tap the powder on it and blend. This product works really well for me. Take advantage of Walgreens buy one get one free. No one beats Walgreens when it comes to sales. You can buy the foundation, then get the blush for free!! (By the way, the blush is great, too!!)

I don't have much luck finding foundations that look natural and match my skin tone. When I found this product I finally hit the jack pot. This foundation is light, looks natural, lasts long, doesn't smear off and matches my skin tone perfectly. In fact, my sister and I have different skin tones and this one color matches us both. I have it in Sun Beige. I am a Hispanic/white mix so anyone with a medium tan skin color might want to try it in this color. This foundation is great for all skin-types but I definitely recommend it for those with oily or combination skin because it's powdery and won't make your oily skin look worse like most liquid foundations do. Also, this foundation does not make me break out like other foundations sometimes do. The only bad thing about this product is that it doesn't cover very well if you have trouble spots like acne or scarring. I have a couple of spots on my face that need extra coverage, so I've found that applying a bit of concealor or liquid foundation to the trouble spots undearneath this mineral foundation works well for complete coverage.

A tip: Make sure to tap off loose product from the brush after dipping. You only need a light layer and applying more than needed will result in a bit blotchy, less natural look.

I have personally made is my goal in this lifetime to find the perfect mineral makeup, so when I tell you that I've tried alot of them...I'VE TRIED ALOT OF THEM!! This one is special...when you first put it on it looks flawless but after about an hour or so, you have a thick messy layer of goop on your face. Also, god forbid that you get some on your closes, it almost take mineral spirits to get it out. It flys everywhere and creates a smudge when you try to wipe it up, so that should tell you about what kind of lethal stuff is in it. It has bismuth in it which in my case, gives me the ichies on my face. Overall, stay away from this product! It's not even worth trying...it clogs poor...messy...hard to get off and irritates the skin...need I say more!

I bought this because I have a hard time finding makeup that doesn't break my sensitive skin out. In the two weeks I have been using it, I haven't had one breakout and my skin looks fabulous. I get compliments all the time about how great my skin looks "now that I don't wear makeup". It goes on super easy and lasts all day for me. Instead of the 10-15 minutes it was taking me to use my base, concealer, powder, blush, loose powder, eye shadow and mascara...now it takes 5 or less depending on if I need extra coverage for dark cicles. (I'm a mom...LOL!!) I love the eyeshadows because they don't make my eyes itch like so many other brands.

This foundation is an overall good product. I have to say that it is very easy to put too much of this product on and it can look cakey. But if you only use a little which goes a long way, it will look smooth, natural, and almost insvisible. Although more shade choices would be nice on the darker side of the color spectrum.

I don't wear a lot of make up because I think make up is contrived and fake looking. I don't like to look made up but I have very red cheeks and some odd scars on my face to deal with. So I was out with my sister helping her pick make up and I ended up getting this for myself (she bought something else) It covers all of my red so well that for the first time in my life, I had to buy some cheek color. I have NEVER worn blush before. Ever. I actually bought glow because I still don't want the made up look. It looks very natural on me and I've been getting compliments on my skin left and right. Best of all, most people can't tell I have anything on my face.

The only cons to me are that I have to wash it off before working out. Once I forgot and I got a streak down the side of my face that wasn't so pretty. Also I've been swirling in the sifter and that often has too much make up in it so I'll try swirling in the cap now.

The trick with this stuff is not to use hardly any of it. If you use too much it's going to look cakey and like anything it's going to clog your pores. Less is more! Make sure you only swirl a tiny bit into the brush and then tap most of it off.

BTW, my sister is switching to this after seeing how well it's worked for me.

If you can't find your shade, you can blend to colors pretty easy by shaking a pinch of two shades into a clean jar. Also for people who have extra dry skin after you apply the foundation powder simply use a clean wet sponge and pat your face. It blends the foundation better and moisturizes your skin.

At first when I got this product, the results were amazing. It covered great, looked natural, my skin looked flawless. Then I began to notice it wore off pretty quickly when I was working, and it had a tendency to dry my skin somewhat. After a while of using it, it no longer makes my skin appear fresh and natural. Not long after I apply it, it appears very dull on my skin even when I try to spruce it up with blush.My normally oily to slightly dry skin with a relatively clear complexion is now slightly broken out after using this product. So seems great at first, but not so great after a while.

Well after watching, ads on tv for bare minerals i decided i wanted to try it because i hate liqiud foundation. So after reading all the good reviews fro this i thought i would give it a try, I got this and and the "Finish" ( which by the way is not transparent and doesnt work) The first time i put it on it was a bit tricky but i got the hang of it after a while and was able to blend nicely. But its really not that great of a product, it can still have that " powdery" look through out the day, not matter how much or little i put on. It makes large pores more noticable, can dry out skin even with mosturizer on, Being teenager i have acne and it kinda covered it up but it made my acne so much worse it got so many white heads it was so embarrassing,The last bad thing i will say about it is makes my skin look dull most of the time even if i use blush or something to try and give it a healthy natural look. The stuff i did like about it was that it blended very good, was very quick to apply, lasted pretty much the whole day ( and sometimes even when my face gets wet most of it is still on), easy to take off, was pretty smooth.

Before I wised up, I tried this Loreal product. It looked great on my skin, blended well, and the packaging couldn't have been more convenient; it was so affordable, too. Then I learned a few ugly truths about cosmetics. Among other things, this product contains talc and dimethicone, which is a silicone. These are major comedogens, essentially sealing your pores with all that dirt, oil and talc in them. No wonder that, after a month or two using this, my face became filled with millia, blackheads and pimples. I now use a true and pure mineral powder and, surprise: No Clogged Pores Anymore. Do your homework on cosmetic ingredients (and the company's record for animal testing!) when considering sacrificing your skin's health for appearance's sake. You'll be glad you did; I sure am.

i spent lots of money on bare escentuals mineral makeup and hated it...it sunk ionto lines and caked up with my oily skin. im only 28 but it made me look 38 in les than 2 hours...looked even worse in the daylight. i bought bare naturale for quick cover ups, and decided to use it all over. it never caked, it never got into lines and made me look fabulous...i had my teen skin back again! using it is so easy...takes mintues off my makeup routine, and its less expensive than that silly bare escentuals stuff.

Im 18 and tend to break out occasionally. When i 1st began to use this product it worked soo well. It had great coverage and looked very natural. BUTTTTTT.....it does ruin your skin and cause breakouts. I never broke out on my cheeks. Maybe one pimple a month on my cheek. It wasnt so bad. Then i noticed wen i started wearing the minal powder and applying it to my cheeeks...i got so much blackheads and pimples!!. I read online that talc is bad for your skin. I wouldnt suggest people with acne prone skin to use it. The product claims it doesnt clog pores, but reasearch says that the ingredient talc does, which is in this product. Overall if you have sensitve acne prone skin...dont use itt!!... Im thnking of using the Physicians formula talc free mineral powder. Thats probably more better suited for my skin.

I've used it for three weeks now, wanted to wait that long before writing a review. I love it, it's easy, it's clean feeling and you have to use so little to get the desired effect. The only con, I have never had any breakouts at all as an adult and since using the product I get a small bump here and there. I love this product!

I, too, tried Bare Escentuals years ago but found the product shiny and seemed to melt off. Even multiple applications of the mineral veil couldn't keep the shine down.

Yet I've always loved the idea of mineral cosmetics, light and quick to apply. And one would think better for oily type skin.

Well, this L'oreal product really is! It applies more evenly and stays in place. To my surprise and delight --all day! I apply the translucent powder at midday and if I'm going out at night I'll apply it once before I step out. That's it.

Another nice benefit is that I've been suffering from a relentless case of adult acne. I've even tried Proactiv cosmetics to try and keep breakouts to a minimum. While it did do better than conventional cosmetics, this L'oreal product blows even the Proactiv cosmetic away for me. I've had little to no new breakouts. I'm delighted!

I like the packaging concept, with the brush attached to the lid. The foudation brush is a little rough, but the translucent and shadow brushes are super soft.

Tip: Use a very little amount of product and swirl the brush into the powder until you cannot see it any more. Tap it to remove any loose powder, then swirl it in small circles all over your skin.

Dispensing tip: I noticed a few reviews where folks were struggling with loose powder mess. I gently tap the powder into the cap (it's a big, clear cap like a cup). Then tap it to a corner of the cup and tap the small pile back into the base. Now you can swirl your brush in it. This allows me to shake it out powder but keep it contained. And keeps my counter/sink clean!

It took a few days to get used to it and get into the groove, but I'm VERY happy with the results. It's soft, it's natural (when I don't over apply!!!), it's silky to the touch. Love it!

I hated the feeling of my liquid makeup sliding off my face by the end of the day. With this, I head home from work, still looking like I'd just started the day. It even works REALLY well with my horribly oily T zone.

My only quibble is that my counter is decently powdered by the time I'm done using the Bare Naturales.

This is by far the best foundation makeup I have found to date. Like others, I have oily skin and the coverage is wonderful. It used to take me 20-30 minutes to put my makeup on now I can put makeup on in 10 minutes or less. I really liked the coverage the first few days and friends and family commented on how good my makeup looked. Co-workers accused me of having a date after work becaused I looked nice. Then after about 3 or 4 days use, the color no longer matched my skin tone as it had the few days prior, in fact, in turned into an entirely other color. I ended up with a color that was very yellow and grayish. Even worse, I had to stop using it and couldn't wear any foundation or anything for days until my skins natural moisture balance recovered. I had huge bumps which were due to clogged pores, blackheads and my skin was so dry it hurt. Not worth the 3 days of compliments, I looked like I had bad acne, something I've never experienced before. Absolutely horrible. If your skin is even slightly on the dry side, I wouldn't recommend this, oilier skin might have better luck.

Absolutely incredible coverage in my opinion. I had been a Bare Minerals user for years, but got tired of my order taking WEEKS to arrive. I tried this product by Loreal, and have been amazed. The coverage is excellent, even better than Bare Minerals. I have very splotchy skin, and this product goes on smooth and covers the imperfections effortlessly! Wonderful! I do wear a moisturizer and it does seem to help the drying aspect of the product.

I am a 37 Year old women and I live in a HOT & HUMID Climate and this make-up stays on even through my sweating . I also suffer from Hot FLashes, and again it stays on through sweating. I am a simple person and don't like to take alot of time getting ready , I also didn't like to wear make-up before because i always felt like i had a mask on . I just tried this product for the first time and I am shocked... I typically have dry skin so using a powder has never been something I was fond of doing. I decided to give this a try and I love the results. I have little spider veins by my nose, and I haven't even been able to get a concealer to cover them up. First application of this, and poof!!! They are no longer visible and it doesn't make the dry areas look flakey. Very impressed with the results!

i have had this for awhile i am almost out of my first purchase, i have found that this is very frustrating to get the makeup thru the holes to get the makeup on the brush to use. when i try to tap of excess it mostly makes a mess on my countertop. I have spent more time cleaning up the mess from the makeup than actually getting to wear it. When i put it on it looks cakey even after moisturizer is applied and has dried completely. Doesn't feel good on the skin, and have to use alot to see any color. Other readers are correct this doesn't cover anything. I have tried physicians formula talc mineral powder and have found i like that much better it actually feels very silky on your skin.

I have melasma also known as the "mask of pregnancy" typically this condition should go away right around 3 months after the baby is born, however my baby is 8 years old, yes 8 it never went away. I have spent years searching for a product that will cover my melasma. I have a ton of liquid and powder makeup that went on thick and cakey and have spent years feeling very ulgy. BUT with this product I (not to sound concetied) think I look beautiful. It covers and looks like I have on very little. I can wear it swimming and most of it stays on and continues look to good. People know something is different but most just can't put thier finger on it. They ask me if I have lost weight, if I am getting more rest, and what is different about me. I LOVE TIHS PRODUCT.

I've been wanting to try the mineral foundation. I couldn't believe it could actually be any good and guess what, it isn't. It's absolutely worthless unless, I suppose, you have flawless skin to begin with - I don't. Would also be a pain to carry in your purse for touchups.
