great lash lasts a long time and gives you longer, darker lashes, but the brush is difficult to maneuver and you get clumpy lashes if youre not careful

this is the worst mascara i've ever tried! the brush sucks! i can truthfully say that i will never use this mascara ever again, my sister used this for awhile and during that time, her eyelashes were always stuck together. but once she ran out and got some new stuff by rimmel from a friend, her eyelashes look good now, but seriously, this is the worst stuff ever.

I bought the mascara because it was on sale when i needed a new one and i liked the look of the bottle. I like how the mascara's color is bold yet it lifts my eyelashes like any other mascara and the eyelashes easily stick together like glue, probably due to the brush and everyone knows that when you reapply layers or mascara, it gets more clumpy and sticky. my tip is to use as little layers are possible because trying to separate the sticky eyelashes gets messy and dont come out quite sucessful. maybe an eyelash comb will come in handy. This mascara only smudged a little for me. I got this mascara on sale for [$] then i have a manufacter coupon thing for [$] Total was [$] with tax. This is the cheapest mascara I've ever seen with Top selling brands in a drug store.3 stars for ordinary, like any other.4 stars for the price and color.

great lash? more like i'm all out of mascara so i had to by this lash.

it goes on decently, but it definitely clumps. i might as well not be wearing mascara since my eyelashes don't look different with mascara than without it. it smears a lot. over the summer i work around the pool- extra enphasis on the around and not in the pool part. i work four hours from 8-12, and by the time i get home, i usually have racoon eyes. and trust me, i dont actually work at my job, all i'm doing is reading comics and drinking coffee.

then, after i go through a lot of troube to remove it, when i dry off my face after washing it, i get black smears all over- proving that it doesn't come off easily.

even though i read the reviews, i decided to buy this anyway. so if you are like me, and want to see for yourself (especially if this is your first mascara) i recomend you buy another mascara from a different brand to compare it with. try doing one eye with each mascara. also, if you're gonna go out and get it, use your leftover money to get sephora's FACE makeup remover wipes. it's the only thing i've used that takes it off.

and as far as recommending this- i say here, take my tube and see for yourself.

This is my first mascera and my favorite! I have tried many masceras but this one is my favorite. It is cheep and works great. It has a few small clumps but its not bad. I suggest this mascera to all my friends! It is sometimes hard to remove but is over-all my favorite mascera.

This is the best mascara I have ever used. It gives me long, flirty lashes and is easy to remove. It does clump, but if you run a lash comb through our lashes, it will define each individual lash. This mascara will make people say "Wow!"

1st mascara I've ever used- WONDERFUL.
It goes on nicely- almost no clumps!!!!
it makes it longer and more visible.

The only bad thing is that when i put it on my lower lashes, it smudges.

I later bought one from rimmel that was double this price, i hated it.
I will stick to this mascara- great lash FOREVER.

I have used this mascara since the 80's and I love, love, love it..... I have tried all different brands and I always come back to this one... To avoid the "clumps" clean the applicator on a paper towel and voila!! Beautiful full plump lashes with no clumps.. I absolutely love the very black. Its a can't live without, a must have for my makeup bag...

I first bought this mascara because it was cheap and I didn't feel like spending $28 on a Dior Show mascara, so I bought this Maybelline drug store brand. When I first applied it, it had an odor and it made my eyes burn and water like crazy! (and I checked the date it didn't expire) My tears practically removed the product from my eyes.

But then I used it again and I didn't apply it too close to my water line. But when I do that it's as if I barely even put it on. All I can say about this product is ... you get what you pay for, a cheap $5 mascara.

I love this mascara...not sure if it's because of the adorable bright colored tubes, or because of nostalgic reasons (I grew up wearing this mascara). Whatever it is, it's the only mascara I use (and I have bought a million different brands), it won't give you a false-eyelash look, but it does thicken and darken the lashes, which is all I need. Doesn't flake off onto your cheeks, and doesn't run down your face if you get wet. I just bought 4 more tubes of "Very Black"! I hope Maybelline never stops making this, or changes the lovely bright colored packaging :-)

I love this mascara because it doesn't make you look over the top but you still look dramatic at the same time. Everytime I use it, people tell me it makes my eyes pop and that it looks really pretty. I have a hard time finding mascara that is noticeable with my dark brown skin tone but this definately makes my eyes come into focus. I've been using it for the past two years and I still love it!

It's nice, and usually there's coupons to get it at a better price..however, I have long eyelashes and after a few hours I have little smudge-lines where my eyelashes touch my skin under my eyebrows.. it's annoying!
