This powder is amazing. Over the summer my chest started to break out in a really ugly and itchy heat rash. A friend of mine recommended this powder because she had used it on her child's diaper rash and it worked wonders. I bought a bottle and within two days the rash was gone! I now use it daily, I just apply a little bit on my chest after I shower and before I work out, and I have not had the heat rash ever since! This is an amazing product!
Using since 1984 on my baby's diaper rash that was cracking and pink. Caldesene was refered to me by a friend who starting using it years prior to telling me. My baby's diaper rash began to heal within 3 days. This product is so hard to find, even some Walgreens don't have it. Continue the good work of supplying us with things hard to find.
Its funny... until reading your other comments I forgot that it's a talc for infants. My sister gave me some of this for my husband when he got a horrible chafe after we moved across during the hottest summer So. Cal had ever seen. It worked so fast and effectively that I promptly stole the powder from her. That was several years ago and since it's saved us after a half marathon, after the beach trips (sand + fat people = chafing) after the fair.... now I'm on the hunt to buy more and I recommend you do the same. It's AWESOME!! Now i can't wait for the baby to get another diaper rash cause I never thought to put this on her. I can't believe it... It would have made life soooo much easier!!
This is the BEST powder ever bought worth every penny. Better than anything else for diaper rash, heat rash.
this is the best product to prevent and/or treat diaper rash. i live in canada and cannot get this product anywhere, i must travel to the us to buy it, but it's worth it!
Only down side is that you must be very careful using it as it is a powder and you must keep it away from your babies face.
My Twins get HORRIBLE diaper rash when they are teething, it blisters and we have been tried every cream and ointment on the market. We've even tried prescriptions! Nothing works as QUICKLY as this. Because it's a powder it's so much easier to apply and remove, especially when your babies bottom is so sore. Just be careful when applying, so your baby doesn't breathe it in. The only down fall is the stores don't stock it! It's only available as a special order.
Great in hot weather to prevent chafing during exercise.
I'm a physician, mother of two children & have one more baby on the way now and I love this product. The most effective measure to prevent/treat diaper rash is keeping the area dry. This powder keeps the skin remarkably dry even in a wet diaper.
Powder should never be shaken directly onto a baby's bottom or else the baby might inhale it. It should be shaken into your hand away from the baby & then applied to the baby's bottom. As long as you're careful about this step, the baby shouldn't have a problem. However since every situation is different, consult your health care provider for any doubts you may have.
I would buy this product again! My son had an awful rash that was raw and we used this on him TWICE and it cleared it up completley.

When my kids had diaper rash, we tried everything -- A&D, Desitin, even prescription ointments. None worked -- but the Caldescene powder cured the rash right away. I recommend to every new mom.

I would never use this on a baby. Talc, when inhaled can cause the lungs to swell which results in dificulty breathing.

When my son was a baby I had so much trouble with him getting diaper rash, he had a lot stomach trouble. My pediatrician gave me a sample of Caldesene Powder. It was great. Today my granddaughter has the same problem and the only thing that works is Caldesene Powder. This is still the best after 40 years.
Any time my two children have had severe diaper rashes (yeast or anything) I use the "pink powder" as we've nicknamed it at home. Overnight whatever the ailment on the bottom is gone. I starting using this in 1998 and refer all my new mom friends to the product.

During the time when my daughter was just an infant, I found it very difficult to find a powder that did not cause her to break out into having rashes. But then I started using this powder and the rashes all went away and my baby was not irritated at all. People was always commenting also on the freshness that my baby had. I highly recommend it...
