Tips for searching

Do you need product information? Or answers to health questions? We automatically sort your search results into these two categories: products and other information. Choose the results you want to see by selecting the appropriate tab.

Suppose you type the word "diet" in the Search box on our home page:

On your results page you'll see the PRODUCT CATALOG tab in a darker color, with the number of items found shown in parentheses. In this case, the number is 651. (The numbers you see when you do a real search may be different.) You'll also see a column on the left of the page, showing ways to refine or narrow your product search: by brand, category, features or price.

If you select Health Care, for instance, you'll see "1-10 of 197" in the bar above the list of products — that's 354 of the original 651 items you don't need to sort through.

Now select Under $2 from the left-hand column — you've cut the list to 18 health care products with prices under $2.

Now you can choose the exact product you want to buy! (If the product you're looking for isn't on the first page, just select Next to see more results.)

Want to sort the products by brand instead of price? De-select Under $2 by clicking the small x next to Under $2 at the top of the list of products, and select a brand from the Brand list at the left.

To view your other results, select the OTHER RESOURCES tab at the top of the results box. Instead of products, you'll see 208 articles, tools and other features related to the subject of diet.

But notice — the left-hand column has changed. Instead of product categories, it now lists categories of information: Health Content, Drug Dosage Form and Drug Type.

Say you have questions about a particular diet plan, so you select Q&A, under Health Content. You've narrowed the list to 36 items, so it will be easier to find questions and answers about the plan you're interested in.

Don't see a Q&A article that answers your question? De-select that category by clicking the small x next to Q&A at the top of the list of articles, then try General Library or one of the other information-sorting categories from the list at the left.

If you don't find the results you were looking for, try different phrases or check your spelling.
