About Your Order
Walgreens would like your shopping experience to be as pleasant and convenient online as in a neighborhood store. Here are some topics people often want to know more about.
Order Status
To check the status of your Pharmacy,Contact Lens and Store Orders, select Your Account on any page and then select Check Order Status. You'll know your order is being processed when In Process appears next to the order number. Shipped status appears when the order has been sent to you. In addition, you will receive an e-mail confirming shipment of your order(s). If your order is out of stock, we will not issue a back order and the status will read Cancelled. If you chose to pick up your Pharmacy items, the status will read Ready when the order is ready for pickup.
If your contact lens order is out of stock, you will receive an e-mail letting you know your order will not ship as originally scheduled. This does not mean your order has been cancelled -- it will just be delayed.
From the Check Order Status page, you can:
- View the details of your Store order by selecting See Details under the order number. You may also read the Product Details of each product in your order.
- Track the shipment of your order by selecting Track Shipment.
- View a list of your current prescriptions by selecting Prescription History.
(Your confidential prescription information is displayed only if you have completed your full online pharmacy registration.)
Note: You will need to log in to check your order status.
We make every effort to complete your order as you requested it. If a product you requested is temporarily out of stock at the time of order processing, we will not create a back order. However, since we re-stock our inventory regularly, be sure to visit Walgreens.com again soon as you may be able to order the product. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.
When a product is out of stock, the balance of your order will arrive with a packing slip. To view the total amount charged to your credit card, go to Check Order Status and select View Order Details. You will be prompted to log in to access your order information.

Customer service representatives are available for all your questions about orders and products, but cannot take or cancel orders over the phone or through e-mail.
If your order includes both contact lenses and other items, the contact lenses will be shipped separately and you will be charged separate shipping fees. Each shipment will have its own packing slip. For more information on tracking contact lens orders, see Contact Lens Shipping Information.

Tracking
If you have a Walgreens.com account, you can track your general merchandise or contact lens order by whatever method is available from the carrier. Tracking is not available for Pharmacy orders.
To obtain tracking information for your general merchandise or contact lens order, go to the Your Account page, and select "Store products and contact lenses" in the Order Status section. Click the order you wish to track, and a new window will open with a number or code to provide to the carrier for tracking purposes. For contact lens orders, you will also receive an email that shows your tracking number.
Return Policy
Many store (non-prescription) products can be returned to your local Walgreens.
If you wish to return a store product, begin by checking the receipt for information on how to return the product in question. If the product is an exception to our standard return policy, you will find return instructions on the receipt below the product description (as well as on the individual product page on Walgreens.com).
If the receipt lists no exceptions, you may follow one of these two standard return methods:
- Bring the product and the invoice to any Walgreens store within 30 days of the date on the invoice for immediate credit to your credit card account. Taxes will be refunded at your local rate. Items returned without an invoice are subject to the approval of store management and will be refunded to a W-Card.
- Mail the product in the original packaging to our return center with the label provided. Include the invoice with the product. On the invoice, circle the item(s) you are returning and check the box next to the appropriate return code. We will notify you via e-mail when we have received and processed the returned product(s).
About free shipping: If you returned a product used to qualify for our free shipping promotion and the return reduces the order subtotal to less than the amount needed to qualify for free shipping, we will deduct the cost of shipping from the refund or charge the shipping cost to the credit card used to make the purchase.
Prescription products: By law, we are not allowed to accept returns of prescription products for reuse or resale. If we have made an error in filling the prescription, however, please e-mail us or call (877) 250-5823 with the details of the error. We will request special authorization for a return of the prescription.
Contact lenses: We will accept returns of any unopened, unexpired and undamaged boxes of in-stock contact lenses in the original packaging sold through Walgreens.com. Made-to-order lenses are not returnable. See Contact Lens Q&A for more information.
Mail the unopened, unexpired and undamaged boxes of in-stock contact lenses in the original packaging to our contact lens return center with the label provided. Include the invoice with the product. On the invoice, circle the item(s) you are returning. You will be notified via email once we have received and processed your contact lens return.

Taxes
Sales taxes will be charged at the applicable rate based on the ship-to address.
