Store Managers Workbench (MWB) is a leading-edge intranet tool that allows store managers, pharmacy managers, and corporate users to measure the performance of stores, districts, and regions in a variety of ways. MWB allows its users to tune the performance and profitability of stores by gathering, analyzing, and displaying of a wide variety of information. In short, MWB performs business functions crucial to Walgreen's bottom line.

Programmers who work on MWB use the latest and most advanced programming languages including Java servlets using Visual Age for Java, tools and batch programming in perl and C, and sql coding to access an Oracle database with over a hundred million rows of data (and growing!). Because MWB plays an important role in Walgreen's business strategy, team members can expect to do more than write code; conceiving and creating business solutions is also necessary.
